Why this kolaveri"...
Kolaveri means literally "Deadly anger"...ie...Anger to a certain extent that it drives to kill something/someone.
I believe the situation where the song was supposed to fit in was a young lad singing after being rejected by a girl...
I guess neither the 18 year old music director nor Danush expected it to become sucha rage...something convered by NPR and now I hear its featuring on the TIME magazine.
When I heard the song, I wondered why this hype...as its ordinalyl lyrics, tune etc..But somewhere there is a charm...that spurisingly I find myself humming to the tune...
Neevan Nigam 's version and the Chip Munk versions are reall y good.
I guess the song is like "Maami's Hello Hi Bye Bye"...it does grow on you!
