The torture went harder than he had expected. Draco thought that he had already buried whatever feelings or emotional attachment he has for the muggle-born. Watching his Aunt Bellatrix do painful things he never imagined was possible made his stomach churn in pure disgust.

He bit his lip. He had to stay strong. He was doing this for his family. Everything was up to him now. One wrong move, and the Dark Lord will have the Malfoys annihilated. He clasped his fist tighter - he can't let his heart win over his mind now. He turned around, thinking that maybe, if he didn't see what was happening, it wouldn't be that much of a challenge (for him) to control himself.

Then, a sudden crisp, sharp cry emerged from her throat. He stopped on his tracks.

It was the last straw.

His body, started moving on its own accord the moment he heard her scream. He dashed from where he was standing from, hands reaching for his Aunt's neck. Seconds later, Bellatrix was struggling for air. It was enough that she couldn't breathe because her hair was in the way, but having Draco's strong hands around her neck was more than she could take.

"Dra-Draco…" she breathlessly called out for her nephew. "…w-what are you-"

Bellatrix looked up at Draco and gasped when she was met by two, ice-cold glares from silvery-blue eyes. His cheeks flushed as anger bubbled inside him. His grip on her neck tightened, and he gritted his teeth as he spoke.

"Let go of her. Now."
