k anyways so Eli's a new student and he's very punk/goth/death-obsessed apparently (acc. to wiki)

Eli and Clare are in English class together and their teacher partners them up for the year to edit each other's work. Clare needs some more depth in her writing and Eli uses too many words 🤣 so they don't really get along.. but Eli likes to play this game called 'prove it' to make Clare more of a rebel. He makes her skip class one day and he's like "You care too much about what people think. If yu don't then scream at the top of your lungs (they're outside on a busy street btw)🤣 (it's the cutest scene EVER NITYA!)

Eli helps Clare write about how she feels about her parents fighting and all that so they become really good friends. Clare starts to like him but Eli suddenly begins to distance himself away from her.

& this week is the boiling point.. I'm afraid Clare might die or be hurt. This guy (Fitz) who Eli has issues with is shown with a knife and he's coming after Clare in the promos
