Thanks Angelic for your response. I am all hopeful for the password system for the CC still hehe. I concur with Aditi (mjhtac) on this. As Sanu (Sweet_Misery) referred these rules I believe should apply to MN and SG CCs only if they are creating a mess here to be honest as it isn't fair to others but if the application is done not too harshly then it is fine to be applied to all.

@Jot: I was talking about this new rule of warning CCs and locking them being applied only to MN and SG CCs.
Okay, but seriously Jot if peoples' personal warning levels being raised is having no effect on their behaviour, what makes you guys think locking CCs will? 😕...I don't understand!
And just so that this is more clear, can I just know what exactly is offensive to MN and SG fans? Is it comments like "Mohit looks like he has diarrhea 24x7" or "Rati is a hypocrite for coming back to the show"?
If members are being attacked and abused on a personal level then I can totally understand the need for you guys to go to such an extent with locking CCs but if all this is happening because people are making the above mentioned comments about the opposing fanbases favorite actor/character then the only word I have is > ridiculous! If those sorts of comments get a CC a warning then it is totally unfair. As Adi(mjhtac) has already said, we all have our own CCs because we are like minded individuals and we have the full right to share our thoughts and opinions on any matter.
PS. I don't think you have to apologize for the delay in replying, everyone does have a life in the real world. And I appreciate the fact that your willing to discuss this new rule before implying it.

it's actually fair if this rule is applied only to SG n MN CCs or any other such particular fan grp CCs...i didn't check out sanu's post earlier

n also sanu has a point, if they dont care for personal warnings, why would they bother abt CC warning, like many ppl already mentioned, IO CCs are generally like-minded/taste ppl n many dont bother abt what the rest of the ppl say...even if u lock a CC for a day, i dont think there will b any change.....but ya, may b u can give a trail.....we can't give up b4 trying

This is NOT the final set of rules guys. This is exactly WHY I made this topic. I want input from everyone so we can all come to terms with what we all think is FAIR and JUST to everyone who is part of CC. Yes we gell well with people who share the same set of values as us but that does not mean I can go around bashing people as much as I want. At the end of the day this is a public website that does have its own set of rules that need to be followed by its members. Please do share what EXACTLY you think seems unfair/unjust from these new rules and I will worj with you guys to tweak that (:

Hey Jot..im glad youre hearing us out before chalking out a final set of rules.I understand that as a moderator you have to take into consideration people's feelings quite a lot.what I would suggest for you to step in and intervene is when:

1)there's security risk to any particular member-as we are familiar with some incident in the past when a member's personal details have been leaked due to vengeful act of someone on this forum

2)i agree with the bolded part of your post.specific bashing of a particular member on a CC shouldnt be allowed.not few days back some DMG member was bashed, albeit on some other site, but its still bashing.an IFs member can be accountable for that.you should definitely raise W/Ls on that CC/close it for a while if that happens.but then,i suggest you should wait for the posts to be reported as well.sometimes members simply indulge in verbal duel without reporting each others CCs.id let them do that and not interfere.
then again i dont include mocking as bashing, but that is just my perception.I-Fs has a completely different perception on humor

3)the second suggestion is not just for general comments like "XYZ's fangroups are so retarded"...if you have to close CCs for that, you would have a load of extra work on your hand ,believe me.my suggestion is,if a CC is known for its dislike quotient for a particular fangroup, they should stop visiting it.but stalkers, as we know are hopeless,so we give out an open invitation to each and every stalker to stalk and memorize each and every post on our CC,however, they cant quote us anywhere,or report us for not liking their favorite couple, however,i dont mind stalkers hitting the like button on our posts, friendly stalkers are always welcome.

4)since this post was made keeping in mind the SG vs MN eternal war,i would like to say,we have our full right to like/hate a particular character/couple.i should be given freedom to call an actor constipated or single expressioned if i want.the actor's fans have their full right to drool mindlessly over him/her.we dont stalk their CCs.they should leave us alone as well.high time.
Eg:i like Ranbir Kapoor quite a lot.in fact am absolutely gaga over him.but i wouldnt care if another CC calls him wimpy voiced/snobbish.its their opinion, they are not starting a discussion with me on him,why should i report them?

@ Senny - But see we were going to come up with a new system anyways but thanks to MN vs SG we just did it a bit sooner. Plus I don't believe in discrimination so either the rules apply to all or none. It isn't fair to seperate SG/MN fans from the rest of the fans (:

@ Sweet_Misery - See the reason why personal warnings no longer have an effect is because people aren't emotionally attached to their IDs the way they were before. Now they no longer care because they know they can come back with a MID. However, closing of the CC helps because its a group mentality thing. Even if a person doesn't care about their ID being banned, they DO care about their friends being hurt by their own actions. For example, lets say I am a basher who loves to bash. I don't care how many times I am banned or w.e but if the CC that I am part of [and its members are my closest friends] gets closed due to MY own actions, I WILL feel bad if that gets shut down BECAUSE of me. And my friends will also not support in my bashing as they will also not want their CC to be shut😛
And no the examples you gave aren't against rules. They seem fine to me. People post things that are personal attacks on I-F members such as calling them "retard" fans or gaddhe etc and saying how they have no brain whatsoever. I have always said feel free to hate an actor or a character but there is zero tolerance for attacks on members even if you were provoked (:
P.S - Thank you for understanding🤗
@ kavya - Read my reply to Senny😛 Plus of course I am not 100% that these rules will work out but as you have said, what's the harm in trying?😃
@ Aditi- I sadly do look at the reported posts only because we simply have wayyyy too many pages of CCs to go through. Its not humanly possible for humans to go through thousands of pages members fill EVERYDAY in CC😳
See with your third point, it is okay if you hate on a actor or character but generalizing a fangroup as retarded is most def. a personal attack First of all the fangroups shouldn't even be discussed in a CC but if they are then what is the need to degrade them or put them down? As it is not all the fans behave the same just like not all the fingers are of same length. Its unfair to degrade them for their personal choices. You may not agree with their tactics but that can be done in a non-degrading manner too (:
and about that 4th point, I usually don't care if you are hating on an actor. Just don't get too personal or cuss him as cussing is against rules but other than that state whatever you wish to (:

Angelic, yeah deep down I felt too. But its just like one child is creating trouble, then you reprimand and possibly punish that one and not all the children. Man I being in the legal field talk like this. Well there are a lot of things which are not spared from discrimination here as I have observed and thus felt that may be here when someone is not at fault shouldn't be punished.

But I am all hopeful that this new system would be welcoming and comforting!

Well said Aditi!

@Jot: Ok, well, this is clearer now. If the examples I gave of comments do not count as being offensive or as posts that can cause a lockdown then its fine.
Anyways, thanks for clearing it all out and all the very best for dealing with the great war of MN vs SG fans...😛...lol...All this fan war probably makes you wish that all these great "youth shows" get shut down asap...😆

Coming right back to the stalkers reporting topic that I'm obsessed with..

If within a CC members have a difference of opinion then yes, they can be reported (though its highly unlikely cos they are supposedly like minded individuals and would sort it out (hopefully) among themselves , but if it goes to name calling and insults then the report button may be used.

But if the members are busy bashing a certain person who is not a part of the CC, then stalkers are acting like proxy moderators and doing the job of reporting the post ..etc
My suggestion is that IF the members of a CC are bashing a actor/character - then they should be allowed to, because Stalkers have absolutely no business in getting hurt and reporting.

You said it Divzie!
What i've been thinking as well. People have positive & negative opinions, and after they end up criticising actors & characters, i dont see the reason as to why members get offended, they are not being talked about, its fiction being talked about.
