@Sonia: Well I don't think there was lack of emotional connect.....I could feel the emotion of the characters and the story was very well executed in my opinion.

@LadyM: I thought Leo acted well in the movie....he's a good actor and I've liked him in Body of Lies and The Departed previously as well.....but I can't say if you would be impressed....everyone has their own opinions.

I'm sort of in love with her character and a friend made it for me for my birthday last week.. 😆 Needless to say I got really excited. Not a lot of people like to make Kalavati sigs.. 🤣

Oh wow it was your b'day last week? Happy belated b'day yaar🤗....hope you had a great one :-)

@Anu: Thanks for the wishes yaar! I didn't do much of anything really. It was last Tuesday and I was still studying for the MCAT then. So I came in to work, finished up, went home and got swamped with books again. I vaguely remember cutting a straight line through a cake in there some where as I walked past the table to my books.. 😆

I just finished watching SGP today. I got caught in the conundrum about who's right and who's wrong regarding the RB-Suhana issue in the forum. While some people think that the Kashyap family were unfair to Suhana, others think that they did what they could do and handled it well. I for once am divided.

While I think that Suhana certainly DID not deserve the slap, I thought that she did deserve a bit more emotional support from the likes of Ishaan and Badi Maa. Ishaan did his bit by at least agreeing that she wasn't at fault by any means, but Badi Maa didn't show her face to Suhana until after the incident. In testing times like these, the daughter-in-law of the house is often reminded that she is indeed the daughter-in-law. If it were Panna getting slapped instead of Suhana, Badi Maa would've rushed to pacify her daughter and not waited on anyone or anything. But since Suhana was the bahu of the household, she was left to her own devices to "understand" the situation without asking any questions. I'm not saying that they should've left RB alone, but I'm just saying that the "in-law" relation is ALWAYS different.

I was mildly mad at Badi Maa for bringing up Deepak today and saying two contradictory things about him -

1) Badi Maa told Suhana - When the incident happened, some people ran to pacify Suhana and others ran to cool down RB. But what about Deepak? He was left alone ...

2) Badi Maa in the same sentence told Suhana - That Deepak has friends and will be fine, but we cannot afford to lose Radha Bua and leave her alone ...

It either shows an inconsistency in Badi Maa's character, or it really shows that she is a human being who cannot always be right. She chose to be with RB over Suhana because she felt RB might break. She felt bad for Deepak, and yet she couldn't convince RB to let go of her past and hence she chose RB over Deepak.

Although I am not satisfied with the stand the Kashyaps took in this instance (even Rano - she was more worried about the badnami than her daughter-in-law's feelings), I liked that RB personally came to apologize to Suhana.

That's an interesting analysis, LadyM....again I haven't watched the epi yet so can't say.....waise bhi I feel wary of discussing SGP in some ways in here now.....lol....better to avoid it I guess.
