It's really a touching song 😭

Ram katha mein veer Jatayu ka apna anupam isthaan x2 - in the story of Ram, brave Jatayu has a place of his own
Tulsi ne badbhaagi kahekar kiya Jatayu ka yashgaan - calling him the fortunate one, Tulsidas sang his glories
Ram katha mein...

Sita haran samay Ravan se yuddh kiya, veer gati paaye - when Sita was being abducted, he faught Ravan and attained a valorous warrior's death
shurveer sharnagat rakshak, dharm praan-tyaagi kahelaaye - chivalrous protector of refugees, a righteous martyr was he
par hit mein apne praanon ka dharmveer karte balidaan - for the sake of others, such saintly warriors sacrifice their lives
Ram katha mein...

ant samay bole Raghuvar, "lo, amar tumhe kar deta hoon!" - as his end neared, Ram said, "let me give you immortality"
kahe Jatayu, "nahin taat, bas mukti ka var leta hoon" - Jatayu said, "no brother, I'll just take the gift of salvation"
moksh dwaar par Ram roop mein mahapraan ka mahaprayaan - at the gate of heaven in the form of Ram, the great soul undertook his greatest journey
Ram katha mein...

praan viheen deh godi mein liye Ram karuna barsaaye - taking the lifeless body into his lap, Ram bestowed compassion on it
kamal-nayan ki ashru dhaar se prabhu antim snaan karaaye - with the tears of his lotus eyes, the lord gave him his final bath
"rini rahunga Gidhraaj ka" Lakshman se bole bhagwan - I'll forever be indebted to this king of vultures, the lord told Lakshman
Ram katha mein...

treta yug ke avtaari nar apne haathon chita rachaakar - in treta yug, God's own incarnation prepared his pyre
maan pita sam, agnidaah de tribhuvan ke swami karuna kar - giving him the respect of a father, the merciful master of the three realms cremated him
sadhu Jatayu, dhanya Jatayu, mahabhaag, stutya mahaan - Saint Jatayu, blessed Jatayu, the great soul recieved great praise
Ram katha mein...

Woooow, very emotional song...really made me cry.CryCryCryCryCryCryCry Thanks for sharing it with us Loli. It coupled with the superb VM you put together made a really great tribute to the great soul Jatayu. His death in Ramayan always makes me cry, so whenever I see Sita Haran I fastforward that scene.Cry Whoever played Jatayu did a reeeaaallllyyyy great job in that uncomfortable looking costume. His voice was so pitiable and heartrending when he cried out in Shri Ram's arms.Cry
Once again, thanks so much!🤗

Hi Deeps,
I already posted the pics of Sita Haran in one of the previous FCs, but will hunt them up and repost them for you in this one.😃 I already posted the Sitaji going back to Dharti Ma as well, but again, I will repost them for you tomorrow morning for sure.😉😳
Aww, thanks so much for liking and using, means a looooot.😳😳😳
To arrange three avis in one pic, you need to stack them first in Animation Shop (I posted the downloadable link in one of the previous pages...it's written down in the ToC) and then overlay the stacked avi through online image editor (you can also do that through Animation Shop as well). If you want, I can explain the steps to you.😊

2nd Discussion of the Week

Very Nice and BROAD topic indeed👍🏼! Yes, we have the scope to discuss the role of Men-Women in society, their Inter-Personal relationship as well as how they contribute to Spiritual journey of the partner- everything can be discussed under this topic.

So, am I the first one to post 😳 ? Honestly I don't have many points right now. Just trying to write about the scenes which have Touched 😍 me in various ways'

I love to watch all the scenes of Sunayana Devi. The way she tells Sita about the Duties of a Wife, I think Shri Krishna also have a scene like this where Devaki's mother advices her about the same.

Where Sunayana Devi advices Urmila-Mandavi-Shrutakeerti about staying in Ayodhya and taking care of the elders as that is the primary duty of them at that stage and Most Importantly that she will welcome them all in Mithila only after the problems of Ayodhya are sorted out (i.e.-after the homecoming of Ram-Sita-Lakshman)'Such a Great Lesson from a mother⭐️⭐️'

I loved the Mata Anusuya-Sita meeting very much'The whole scene teaches us how an Ideal Wife should Behave. Today, the world has changed a lot and we feel that the Morals/Ideals represented by these chacters are TOO HIGH (Members, please forgive me😳 for saying this, but that is my opinion, as I have already mentioned in my introductory posts in CC2😊). But now I feel that those Ideals should be there for us to follow, otherwise there will be no parametre to measure how we are doing in our personal lives, those Ideals should be there for us to compare-learn and improve ourselves whenever we can.

We have discussed a lot about Raavan-Mandodari in our Orkut Ramayan Community⭐️ 'Wife has so many roles to perform and Mandodari was a perfect wife'It is really sad that her endeavours could not change the fate of Raavan, but indeed that scene is just TOO GOOD 👍🏼!

We have also discussed about the Bharat-Maandavi meeting at Nandigram(in prev posts with Sis Lola in CC2 or CC3 ' I don't remember exactly). There we find that Maandavi's duty as a wife(serving her husband) is in conflict with the duty Bharat assigns her(to look after Kaikeyi).

Now one of my favourite scene is when Shri Ram decides to sleep on bed of grass after Sita's exile' I was filled with Respect for Lord Ram watching that scene. And Ram explains to Lakshman that Without the wife a husband must not enjoy any pleasures of life'Such High Ideal 😍'Just motivates us all to behave in the proper way, to value the sacrifice the other person is making. The LOVE shared by Ram-Sita are just Heavenly😍!

Yes, Vasudev upholding the duties of a Husband after the Akaashvani is another Powerful scene. I also loved that scene, along with the High Ideals, the Sincerity in the relationship of Vasudev and Devaki is also evident here.

Another scene which I remember quite well is the scene where Lakshman and Urmila meet for the last time before Lakshman going to Vanvaas. There also Lakshman gives priority to his duty as a brother(serving elder brother) in comparison to his duty as husband(to look after his wife).

I feel I have moved a bit from the original topic of discussion, but I have this problem of not been able to apply those Ideals in our existence in this Kalyug😭. So just tried to do that [i.e.-connecting Treta and Dwapar yug concepts with this(our😕 ) world] here in my post😆😆.

That is all I have to say in the beginning of the discussion. Very sketchy indeed, just touching on the dialogues mentioned by Lola (and left some scenes which I don't remember correctly😳, will definitely watch and comment on them soon). Really interested to read the views of all the members regarding all those scenes. Will catch up with all of you as the discussion progresses in future.

@ Lola,
Excellent way of making it easier for the members to go though all the scenes, you have taken Sooo... Much pain😊 in arranging the Topics and mentioning the Youtube links with all of them'Great Work Dear 👏 👏 !

Jai Shri Krishna. Jai Shri Ram.

Wooow, very nice inputs, Debipriya!ClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClap Really enjoyed reading how you explained the beautiful meaning behind each and every scene, and the true meaning of an ideal husband and wife in each one, really gives a lot for a person to think of.Day Dreaming
I always enjoy reading your posts sooooooooooooooooooo much, the way you put across your thoughts is just.......wow!StarStarStarStar Even from your Orkut discussions, I can tell that you are such a pro when it comes to debating. I know I'd never be able to express myself as beautifully as you. Am still thinking of the words you and Gunia wrote, they're going through my head right now.Embarrassed Thanks sooooooooooo much for sharing your thoughts.😃

😍😍😍😍 I've seen it several hundreds of times and still, every single time, I'm like awwwwwwwww look at thatttttt 😆 And such perfect timing, since our new DOTW is inspired by that scene!!! Thanks again 🤗

Aww, you're very welcome Loli, no probs at all.🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 Really glad you like the pic updates, really makes it worthwhile to post them all.😳 I so agree, that SiyaRam first night thing really makes me go ☺️😍. RS really did that scene well (like almost every other scene in the serial), one of the best.⭐️😳
Btw, am thinking of posting another pic update soon before we finish this CC. I already have the Shabari one saved in my comp which I have to do...what should I do after that? I am in a dilemma between the scene where Ram and Lakshman find a dying Jatayu (inspired by the song you posted😭) and Sita Ma's expressions and reaction when she finds out about the Swarna Sita decision (inspired by your DOTW)...as well as a few pics of all the characters during the Ashvamedh Yagna when they are looking at the golden statue of Sita and feeling sad that the real one is not there.😭
And superb siggies you posted, both are magnificent!Clap You know how much I love my request one, it's just too sweet, but the First night one you posted above that is just.................wow!!!!😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 LOVE the effects and text you used, such super superb job!Clap That reminds me. Can you please post the dialogue with translations of the words Ramji speaks during that scene? It would be such snaggable stuff for our siggies.😉 And the avis by Lipsha as well as the request from Mallika are both lovely beyond measure!

Wooow, thanks so much for these lyrics Shivang, love them so much!😍 The Jatayu scene was taken just magnificently in Ramayan, makes me cry every time.😭 Like I told Lola, I usually skip over that part because it is sooooooooooo sad.😭
Really, thank you so much for posting so many lyrics and dialogues. It takes a lot of time and effort so I really really really appreciate it.🤗 You work so hard in this CC to make so many song lyrics and valuable dialogues available to us, so Koti Koti Dhanyavaad.😳😃

@ Gunia - millions of thanks for liking the SiyaRam sigs sweetie, very happy you liked them 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 Glad you liked the pratigya text, will do those dialogues very soon... what a scene 😍 Closest we've got to the lovely Arun-Bhanu moments in your avi 😳

Here are the pics of the 1st Chanoor, they're very very blurry but I can pretty much confirm - having seen his way of sitting, I totally agree with you - he's gotta be our Sugreev, no one else sits like that 😆

And here's the 2nd one, just had to include him so we could get a glimpse of the larger than life nose 🤣

And totally agree with you about the repeat dubbing artists - me and Shivang bhaiya have been trying to keep track of how many characters were voiced by the guy that dubbed for Dara Singh - poor guy, they kept him soooooo busy 😆. Lagta hai 4-5 awaazein standby pe rakhte hai dabbe mein, baar baar wahi nikalte rehte hai 😆 New sigs are AMAZING, perfect text and adorable hearts you added to the Kevat one...

Aur DOTW ka kya kahoon... kuch kehne ke liye bacha hi nahin 😲 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 And millions more taalis for your admirable analysis! Every single point you made is a brilliant observation, and your connections with today's society are spot-on perfect. One that I found particularly outstanding was what you said about wives encouraging husbands to get involved in shortcut moneymaking schemes that are often illegal and/or immoral - this is unfortunately so true, and so goes against what Shri Ram says in that scene. Such a sacred relationship is best put to use when the two steer each other away from evil deeds and towards good ones, as Ramji says and in another scene I mentioned - the Mandodari one that comes right after Angad warns Ravan and leaves. She also says in that scene that your wife is your best friend, and in that capacity I'm trying to help you do what's right and keep you from destruction. Not only does the opposite happen in modern times, but those of you who are catching the Sudama epis of SK on Star Utsav nowadays are probably seeing/already saw Sudama's wife do the contrary to a lesser degree. When she sends him to falsely praise that raja so they can finally feed their children, no matter how harmless her intentions are, she is steering him away from his dharm - the lies and hypocrisy are not part of his nature and she should be thrilled about that, but instead she forces him to engage in them for material gain. I honestly cannot say what I would do if I was put in that situation, but from our comfy outsider perspective it is clearly not in line with what Ramji says in that dialogue. Another observable occurrence of this I can think of is in Sanjeev Kumar's early film Dastak - tragic, well-written story of a newlywed couple who moves into a red-light district and gets tempted by the material gains it leads to. So, this particular husband-wife duty that you described so perfectly and related so well with conditions in the modern world - that they must keep each other on the right path and away from sins, no matter how small - is, I think, one of the most important lessons to be taken from Ramji's dialogues in that scene. Bravo, behna 🤗 Simply can't wait to get your analysis of the all other scenes, I'll be anxiously looking forward to checking IF each day to see what you've written about each one because your input has proved so enjoyable and enlightening. Keep rocking 👏👏👏👏👏

@ Aishicakes - zillions of congrats on BitS'ing, honeybunch 🤗 I soooo heart your answer about Dara Singh... adorable 😆 Other answers were fun too, I may or may not agree but I totally understand what you mean about Kritika - she had that innocent naive act going for her, while Shweta made a more bubbly and clever and less submissive Radha. Like that lover versus devote convo I had with Shivang, Kritika was more devotee and Shweta's interpretation kinda had elements of both. Will have a bunch of questions up for you in a sec - be afraid, be very afraid 😈 😆

@ Shivang - awww no, you're the best bhaiya!!! Sumitra Maa ka dialogue maaroon, "aap hi se to seekha hai humne" 😆 Lol ab Gunia-ishtyle chain of sweetness shuru ho jaayega aur baaki sab baatein bhool jaaungi, lets not risk that. Understood and agreed with your point, and thoroughly enjoyed the reference to Deva Ho Deva Glad you liked the DotW topic and vid list idea, really looking forward to your enlightening contributions... but don't worry, we'll wait as long as it takes - because they take so long, Lali's labeled it "discussion in the spotlight" instead of week in our ToC, I just noticed 😆 Woh Kaushalya Maa ko diya hua paramarsh maine daala tha par jaan-bujhkar nikaala because there was such an imbalance between ideal wife and ideal hubby scenes - didn't want toooooo much pati parmeshwar business 😆 UrmiLakhan one definitely deserves to go in though, thanks for the idea!!! Aur khaas aapke liye woh Anup Jalota bhajan ka VM banaaya, hope you like 😃

@ Debi di - ati ati uttam shuruvaat di aapne DotW ko, thanks a bazillion 🤗 The summaries of the scenes will probably prove very helpful in reminding everyone what they're about.

Agree with you about that very first Sunaina Mata scene, in fact if i had to choose a fav between all the Ramayan mom actresses it'd be her because she's so sweet and natural. But anyways, yes, there's an almost identical scene with Devaki and her mom in SK - and her mom is played by the same lady who plays Mandavi and Shrutkirti's mom in Ramayan - but like I told Shivang bhaiya, I wanted to limit the adarsh patni stuff -bechaare hubby log peeche reh jaate 😆

I too really love the post-Bharat milaap one, esp her guidance about how to treat Kaikeyi the same way as the other MILs - very important point she conveys, that in our culture, marriage isn't just a union with one person, it's with their whole family. Pati ko grudge hai, iska matlab yeh nahin ke biwi ko bhi rakhna chahiye - again Gunia's point from Ramji's dialogue becomes relevant, that bringing your significant other to the righteous path is most important - not just patronizing them and going along with their every mistake.

The next two scenes we've already touched on before between the two of us so let's wait for what everyone else says about them, the ghaas ka bichhona one deserves its own post because there are so many connections we can make from it and it's sooooooooooooooo beautiful 😍 Perfect illustration of how they should appreciate one another and not take each other for granted, leaving aside the obvious about enjoying comforts only together, if one is deprived of them the other should be too. Similarly Sita not accepting the food and clothing given to her in Ashok Vatika because Ram doesn't have access to such luxuries illustrates this point, that one should try to empathize with the other to the best of their capacity because that's what oneness is all about. But in my opinion, Vasuji takes this to a whole new level when, during the Balram pregnancy epis, we get to see how he's been sleeping the entire time they've been in the dungeon.Remember this?

This time they both don't have access to any kind of luxuries so he makes himself even more uncomfortable to be her source of comfort!!! Sooooooooooo sweet 😍 I think that without any dialogue and even any acting, simply in staging the scene like this, RSji made the most powerful statement of all on the duties of a husband and one of the meanings of marriage - like Gunia said, things are waaayyy different now - in a world where couples fight over the TV remote control, the thought of them sacrificing their comfort for each other to this extent seems soooo foreign. Lol in Sindhi we have a silly saying - "toh sanaan, mun sanaan" that means you showered, na? Gale lagte hai, main bhi saaf ho jaaunga, less work for me 😆 Seems irrelevant but what I'm tying to say is that the way SiyaRam and Vasuji act in these scenes tells us that marriage is quite similar in a cleaner and more wholesome way - you're uncomfortable? then so am I. I made you more comfortable? Then even I feel better. Because ideally they're supposed to be one, so their joys and sorrows should also be one - then the question of jealousy and envy that occurred in Amitabh-Jaya's Abhimaan wouldn't arise, because her success would be his and it'd be happily ever after 😍

Anyways, next scene - Vasuji again 😆 What I find particularly significant about his words and actions after the Akashwani, other than the obvious chivalry he demonstrates by putting his life on the line for her, is this: whether or not it was his decision, she wasn't his first wife, and at the time any subsequent wives were usually brought in as baby machines. But he, on the other hand, proved that her importance went way beyond the fact that she could bear sons. He was willing to surrender the sons she might have in order to save her life, proving that sons or no sons, she deserved to live and more generally, women are more than moms and deserve respect even outside of this one role.

UrmiLakhan scene abhi add karti hoon, but it again goes along with the point we discussed in the post-Bharat Milaap Sunaina one - that marriage entails duties not only to the spouse but to the whole family - he tells her to stay back and serve the moms, because again, in our culture, marriage involves the whole family and not just that one person. She would be fulfilling her duties towards him perfectly by taking care of them. But then, this would make an interesting point of comparison with the Sita Maa scene I posted from when Sumant is trying to take her home early on in the banvaas. She says that for her, all other relations aside - Ram comes first. How does this tie into Urmi's situation? Any thoughts? Anyone, please contribute!

Well, that covers the scenes you covered di, so thanks for the framework!! Really glad you like the topic and most welcome for the vid list, my pleasure... eagerly looking forward to all of you guys' inputs in this discussion!

Aur Narsingh Jayanti ki bahut bahut badhaai, guess I'm too late to post anything relevant but Gunia's gorgeous sig was impossible to top anyway 👏
👏👏👏👏
