Jot, Thank you so much for spreading awareness. The least we could do is keep the folks of Haiti in our prayers, and wish them well.
I would just like to share my thoughts about the disaster on here:

I was watching CNN the other day and the President of Haiti was just roaming around on the streets helplessly. Sanjay Gupta interviewed him and even I felt helpless when the President of Haiti said, 'I have no where to sleep.' When the President is in that state then imagine the countrymen. There's no state of order or military and it is the poorest country in the Western hemisphere where people are surviving on $1 a day. Even if the U.S. and the U.N. have pledged support, the fact still remains that Haitians have never witnessed such a catastrophic event in their lives, not that their lives weren't filled with challenges pre Earthquake. I can't even begin to imagine how the recovery will start and the thought of people trapped under the rubble alive is even scarier.

I can't do much, but I rather just donate my $10 - instead of viewing a movie - that Haitians earn in 10 days to assist, though it won't do much. Even I feel helpless.

Although I have never been thru an Earthquake, but I have been thru horrific hurricanes, so I do have an idea of how devastating it can be. The sound of Earthquake is horrific....

Truly thoughtful!!! Thanks!!!! Actually firefighters of my island have gone to haiti - I live in the french caribbean -- so we're closed!!!
There are corpses everywhere in the streets, some students are stuck in the College they sent sms to warn people that they were there - don't know if they're still alive - Awful 😕😕😕
The doctors are overbooked!!!!😕

Thanks for this post Jot and Zainab.

My heart goes out to all the people of Haiti
Buddies, dont say you dont have money to donate. We can show our symapthy and sharing their pain by praying for those injured earthquake victims.
We have donated money to the Norwegian Red Cross😊
The situation is just getting bad day by day, over 50 000 have died and so many thousands of poeple need food, shelter, medicines, cloths, water etc. But the saddest part is the island have become almost anarchy, heart breaking pictures They are still finding survives cause the time has running out for those still alive.

thanks guys for the info, Zainab and jot

There are many ways you can help but do make the effort guys. Even if you don't earn a penny ask your parents. $5 is nothing. If this is a lot of money for you then simply spread the word.
