So I watched Seven....firstly I love the production values....good special effects and there is just an overall CLASSY aspect to it that I liked.

Now coming to the six superhero characters....I think they could have developed those better....the powers are a good mix of things but I feel that the dramatic aspect of them can be brought out better....maybe they will develop them better in the future....let's see....the whole theory behind the saptarishis was well presented by that prof in the opening scene....that was a very good scene.....and the ending scene was fantastic....the way that guy blacked out the entire city....that was cool....

Overall I think the main thing I was dreading was extended tacky cheesiness since it's a superhero story and all.... but they didn't show that thankfully....barring maybe that Asmin girl....I seriously didn't get why she jumped off the balcony randomly...it was really weird :S lol....but the dialogues are not cheesy otherwise....so that's alright atleast.....there is a sense of believability to the proceedings overall.....something that truly lacked a lot in any Indian show of this sort attempted before....so I'd give them plus points for that :-)

Anywhoo....did anyone watch Lift Kara De as well?? LOL the first epi had SRK in it...obviously...haha.....the top three fans are kinda creepy but the things they were showing were kinda funny as well...lol...and the family they are trying to help in the show....they had a very sad story....

I saw an unusual English film today - Unspoken (2006). The plot of the movie is: five men wake up in a locked down warehouse with amnesia. They try to figure out who is good and and who is bad in order to stay alive. There is a Bollywood movie ripped off from this movie called Acid Factory, which was released in recent times. I always like to see the original English movie simply because most Hollywood directors base the movie on plots, not on melodrama.

This movie seems like a low budget movie, except its probably not. The plot is gripping and keeps you engrossed. Probably the ONLY thing that I didn't like about the movie was the excessive use of profanity. But it is a hard hitting movie like Memento or Fight Club. Although, I didn't like either, I found myself pleasantly liking this one, even with not-so-well-known faces!

Edit: Hi Anu. Seven sounds interesting. Maybe I should give it a try. I thought the promo was a bit too much though! Albeit, it is something that DH will like 100%. He even liked Arsalan on Sony for crying out loud!

Sounds interesting, LadyM! I think I'll check out that movie too... I watched Pelham123 recently....that also had a lot of profanity in it...lol....which is awkward to watch with Mom...haha....but it was a good movie still....keeps you on your toes waiting to see what happens next.

LOL Arslaan...haha....I watched a few epis of that show too.....just cuz I'm always fascinated by all this magical stuff...haha...but that show was maha tacky, dude.....there isn't even any comparison to Seven.....this show is much much muchhhhhhhhhh better.....the special effects are really good and so far the storyline development is too :-)

Anu - Arslaan was TACKY personified dude! I gave up after a few initial episodes myself. Such low production values will speak for themselves. I think they had to wind it up early because of low TRPs.

I am not too much of a fan of magical stuff. But movies like Mummy, Mummy returns, initial Harry Potter movies and Lord of the Rings series are exceptions. So which is your favorite movie in this genre?

Edit: A'rite it's way past my bedtime .... going to hit the sack ... nighty night :-)

LOL Arslaan type shows come and go, man....that was supposed to be a kids show actually I think...haha....

I looooooooooove magical stuff....I've been fascinated by it since childhood :D....magic, sci-fi, out of the ordinary....these kind of things intrigue me...so I can always watch anything in these genres....lol

I don't have any all time fav. movie in the genre really though....I'm not a fan of the HP movies in general....mainly the books...the HP movies I watch just out of curiosity to see what they made of the books...haha.....LOTR was good on screen...I couldn't manage to read more than a few chapters of the books....tooooooooo much detail....lol....LOL the Mummy series toh is cheesy type of magical adventures, man.....they can't really be included on an epic scale....

I loved the Matrix series too :D

*Edit: G'nite! See ya later!
