You make me sound like a Maharani or something.😆😉 I love your sigs Loli, it's a pleasant surprise every time I see a new one.😃 I totally agree, no one has matched RS and RJain in depicting the emotional turmoil of the Uttar Kand... most other mytho makers have been unable to convey that the choices all of the characters made during this chapter were far from easy, and neither of them simply forgot it all and each other and moved on... as you'll see when I post the lyrics, RJain put this into the most perfect words by telling us that Ram went through his duties like a robot so no one could sense how heartbroken he was, and though a crown was on his head his heart was adorned with Sita... and the whole moment when he's standing by the window, with the lyrics about his lonely heart gazing at the path for someone who had no hope of returning... it's this tenderness of the characters - esp Ram's, that everyone skips out on (as evidenced by that dialogue you referred to) and RS-RJ so perfectly captured it... maybe they were the only ones who realized that it was the difficulty of his decision and the emotional toll it took on him, despite which he took it, that makes him our hero and our bhagwan... hats off to them 👏 Lol now let ME apologize for ranting, so I can get those lyrics up instead of talking about them! But I think one of the main reasons some directors glaze over the character of Ramji is because they themselves may blame him for Sitaji's vanvaas. They cannot exactly show him in a negative light (or people would fume), so they instead glaze over his char and instead concentrate on Sitaji's sorrows, which is not at all bad, except that added to the uncaring character of Ramji, it gives off the wrong impression for those people who baze their opinions on Gods from movies and serials. One needs to show the suffering of both Ramji and Sitaji equally to give off the right impression. I think only those directors who truly believe from their heart that Ramji and Sitaji suffered equally, and also are true Sampoorn bhakts of both SitaRam as one soul and not two different ones, only they can truly show the depth of emotion in both. It is evident by the fact that RSji almost died of Tuberculosis in his young age but lived miraculously when everyone thought he would surely die, that he was blessed by God because he still had a very imp duty to carry out before departing the world. If he hadn't made Ramayan, people would not have gotten a chance to see the depth of every emotion in our scriptural characters not only in Ramayan, but later on also Shri Krishna and all the other successful serials.
