Music adds to drama in the suspense-adventure 'Samrat & Co'

Suspense-adventure Samrat & Co, featuring Rajeev Khandelwal as a detective, will see Rajshri Productions taking a break from family dramas. The difference, we are told, will be felt in the film's music as well.
Says director Kaushik Ghatak, "This is not a song-and-dance film, but music plays an integral part in the narrative. And it will be different from what we have seen in Rajshri's previous films. For example, the song Tequila Wakila adds a lot to the excitement in the drama."

The party number shows choreographer Ganesh Acharya shaking a leg with Shakti Mohan who plays a contemporary dancer. It is learnt that he asked his protege Rahul Thombre to choreograph the song.
Producer Kavita Barjatya says, "Despite his seniority, Ganesh masterji was very humble and went out of his way to support us in this song. We are indebted to him."
Ganesh adds, "It was wonderful working with Rajshri for the first time. Shakti is a gifted dancer and she has done full justice to the song." Samrat & Co releases April 25.
