Chapter 6

The same day ( evening )
Taani was ready for a ritual that had to take place in the night. A dance event.. She was unsure if she wanted to dance, after the sole reason been taken away from her. But it was Shanaya's wedding. She had to or else Shanaya would chop her off.
Little did she know that the love of her life would be back and their meet would be an unusual one. It would be through DANCE- their common passion.
Little did Rey know that a storm was awaiting to get unfurled in a few days.

Taani was amazed seeing the wedding type atmosphere and she soon realized that Shanaya was pretty serious about gettin' married. And since Shanaya was a gujrati, all the ladies in the dance event were dressed in a traditional Saree. Even Shanaya who either wore Shorts and tops or Dresses, now wore a Lehnga. Taani decided to keep it traditional and wore a lehega.
The speciality of this dance event was that the dancers had to continue and finish this dance only when the music stops and on Shanaya's special request Taani had to dance. She was reluctant at first but then she remembered how violent Shanaya would get if Taani said no. So she decided to remain quite and dance.
The song started Lahu Mun lag gya.

IMAGINE DEEPIKA AS TAANI IN THE FOLLOWING PICTURES.

Taani twirled around with the other dancers and formed a perfect circle. She was supposed to have a partner but she decided she was better alone.

Soya tha nas nas mein

Traditional dance was something Taani didn't excel at considering the fact she was away from India since a long time. She danced anyway.

Labon ke chhoone se
Khwabon ke kone se
Labon ke chhoone se
Khwabon ke kone se
Bachke sab se lab se lab
Ye rag se rag gaya

She sat down and did some contemporary steps which suited the song perfectly. She remembered the traditional dance she did with Rey- the one she would never forget.

On the other hand, Rey was there. He was f**king there and he just stood and kept on admiring his Taani. After all he saw her after such a long time. Her curves. Her eyes. Her eyes. Most importantly, the sadness and empty void that seemed to fill up her eyes. He realized she had got anorexic and she had dark circles beneath her hazel eyes. But to Him, she was the prettiest woman he had ever laid eyes on. She moved in circles with the other dancers unaware of his presence. She just danced not caring about the surroundings and he loved that about her. That's how a dancer should be. He missed her and this fact could not be hidden as his eyes were not supporting him. He felt his eyes full of tears- of Depression, of missing her beyond limits, of happiness to see her again, of all that he went through. And he knew he was successful. He used to get updates of Taani's education through Shanaya who would tell him facts. Only some, not all. Precisely, that Taani was gettin' successful and that made him feel proud.
He wanted to hug her, kiss her, hold her in his arms and never let go. He wanted to scream telling her how much he missed her and how much he loved her.. Wait LOVED ? No, how much he LOVES her.
As they say, True Love can never die.

Bhatak rahi hai aankh ye
Malang ang.. ang ang

And Rey couldn't control himself anymore. He went ahead and joined the dance. Suddenly, he changed his ways and became Taani partner. She still did not realize this sudden change, But as soon as she turned she was Shocked, rooted to the spot, Speechless,
He, the love of her life , the one who had abandoned her, the one whom she loved was standing right in front of her. She had no idea how to react. She had f**king no idea how to react. Tears had formed in her eyes- of rejection, depression, happiness of seeing him again, showing of how much she missed him and most importantly Love.

Atak gayi hai saans uske. Sang sang.. sang sang ( my breath always stopps when I am with him)

This line suited her perfectly. Whenever she was with him, her breath almost stopped. The love and care He used to shower at her made her speechless every time.

But now it was different.

Rey kept on dancing. He went near her and said " You have to keep dancing Taani. This is important in this dance. After all the show must go on. "
Still, Taani was breathless when she heard his husky voice. It seemed that she heard him since ages.
Rey held her hands and twirled her around. That's when she was brought back into this brutal world and she realized what had actually happened.

Rey went near her, their body touching and this gave Taani a shudder. Neither was Rey unaffected by their proximity. He had shudders went though his spine. Every time He was with her, he felt ticklish. Every time, he wanted to cherish her and love her more.

Aye.. Lahu munh lag gaya

And as the song stopped, everyone cheered and applauded for this couple who were beyond Amazing.
The whole gang, including Swayam were in tears seeing Taani after such a long time. But Taani herself was damaged beyond repair. She walked away from Rey.. From reality.. She ran away from him. She locked herself in the bathroom.
Rey had expected this kind of reaction from Taani but he wasn't prepared to absorb this. He didn't follow her as he knew Taani required some time alone. But as she walked away, he felt as if his heart was breaking down in several pieces.

" Why is he here, Shanaya? " Taani asked her best friend after coming out of the long stay in bathroom of about an hour. Inside the Bathroom, She had cried.

" I don't know, Taani. " Shanaya replied trying her level best to lie to her best friend.

" Listen- " Before she could complete her sentence, Swayam entered the room.
He saw his baby sister after such a long time. He didn't fail to notice that she had gone anorexic and had big dark circles beneath her eyes. Her eyes were puffed due to the heavy crying and he noticed that too. He just went ahead and hugged her.
Taani knew that she had not done the right thing by leaving her brother. Moreover she did not tell him about her whereabouts and this further extended the hurt Taani had given to her brother.
" Why did you leave me, Taani? " It was all he asked and the hurt in his voice was clearly visible. She had her tongue tied. She had no answer and was speechless. 2 time in one day. WORLD RECORD. Taani's head screamed.
Seeing Taani tongue tied, he changed the topic, " So how are you, my little sister? "
She was happy he had changed the topic but she knew He would demand answers from her someday or the other. She could no longer keep this a secret.
" I'm good, Bhai. How are you? And how is Sharon? Are you guys in a relationship? " And she aimed questions at him continuously.
" Relax Taani. I'll tell you everything in a while " Swayam said.
" Okay. "
Swayam noticed the she was uncomfortable about something.
" Are you uncomfortable about something? " Swayam said fully knowing it was Rey's presence that bothered her.
" No.. I mean yes. Why is he here? " Taani asked.
And her brother's reply took her by surprise.
" For you " he said.

What will happen when she'll come to know the truth?
Will they get back together?
