There are some things concerning fan-fictions, one-shots and short-stories that need to be announced so here goes:
The 'official' rule until now (Regarding Picture Gallery & Fan-Fictions) was that all works will be moved to Fan-Fictions section after they surpass page 15. However, for over a year, the DT had internally changed it to 5 pages. Until recently, no one asked so we never made official announcement of changes.
It HAS been changed to:
One shots - after 5 pages
(since new OSs are written every day and since they are not long-going like SS or FF and just 'one' shot, it hardly never passes page 15. We can't just have all of them lurking around and pushing discussion topics back 😳 )
Short stories - after 10 pages
(Since they are neither as short as OS nor as long as FF.)
Fan-fictions - after 15 pages
(since new writers feel it should be around for at least that long so forum members who read as well can get to know about it. A fair deal? )
Also, there are concerns that works clog up the first few pages of discussions. While I do move works on weekly basis, sometimes I understand that one week, you will see more works around than others. To avoid getting multiple PMs are reports, this is what I am proposing:
I will leave this thread open and writers or readers or just forum member, if you see bunch of works, you can post links here. *Thread will be later on moved from sticky to normal and link can be found in Archive Mansion & Important Link Sticky thread* Multiples can be avoided then. If it's just one or two, then just let it be. Wait till I get to them in the next round I make 😊
Now to the MOST important part:
The recent bashing that takes place in write-ups on actor's. While we understand members reasoning for wanting to restrict all couples to be restricted to them only and not include a third person, creativity is not something we put limits on. The writer should have the liberty of writing their will. Not everyone abuses the freedom.
Hence, if you see actor OSs (VriMar, ArSha, TanHa or VruShan) where anyone is being abused or bashed based on the characteristics given to them, just report it and simply wait. DO NOT go there and comment to defend your favorites. JUST REPORT and go on to reading the next thing. As I had mentioned before, actor OSs are not allowed and only fictional couple are allowed on I-F. Nevertheless, since this forum always wrote on it and with no problems brewing, it was allowed until now. Do not make us completely ban them. Follow the procedure outlined above and everyone remains happy.
