YOU COMPLETE ME
A beautiful song in low volume playing on her music player…soft cool breeze making entrance through the half opened window…and wind chime moving in synch with breeze and making soft rhythm …..Whole room was lighting with half burnt candles…making the moment more magical…more romantic!
She was sitting on floor…having an old photo album in her hand…admiring each n every photo…moving fingers over them…as to feel the time, which passed…the time when their relation was unnamed…but destiny destined them to be together…FOREVER!
She starts recollecting the beautiful moments of her life…which started with his entrance in the class and in her life….
She was always the first bencher….the topper of her class…. Best in sports….awesome in cultural activities….and equally good in making pranks…as whole she was full of life…her motto for life is to live for the moment….and she was doing it….she made every moment of her life live….It was first day of the school after vacations……she was in 7th standard…. As always she was with her friends….having fun…unknown to what going to happened next….her life going to change forever….He entered in the class…as he opened the door….all the chalk powder kept …was on him next moment….he was all in chalk powder…his face….shirt….school bag…his blue pant everything turn to white…poor guys…can't do anything other than admiring the angel laughing holding her tiny stomach with her hands ….somehow…she manage to stop her laughter…and went to him…. "Hey we r sorry…You see its first day of school …we can't let it go without any fin..And prank…it's your bad luck you caught in the act!!!" she said with confidence in actions and softness in her voice…. "Its okay!" he replied in firm voice….she was about to leave he called her back… "Hey I'm Swayum Shekhawat…and u??" and offered his hand for hand shake…. She turned back and answered back with a smile "Am Sharon….Sharon Raiprakash" and shook hands with him….for both of them time stood there…the moment froze…both felt something…something really strange!!
This was their first meet….filled with sweet sour moments….as she recalled that…a huge sweet smile played on her lips….. "Pagal!!"
They were friends but destiny stored something else for them….after spending 3 years in school …his family shifted to Delhi…up till now they become good friends…just friends….his relatives were in the same city …so he use to come in vacations …to meet her… to collect fresh memories for next whole year…. with first ray of sun on the earth …they use to be together….till moon spread its cool brightness…..they use to laugh…have fun….doing all mischief's… which a teenage couple can do…. But the question still unanswered…they both knew this is not just friendship….they were more than friends…if they are in love???
Don't know let's see further.
Both had completed their school…the cute… bubbly….. Fun loving girl turn to beautiful angel…for further studies…she went to Bangalore….half heartedly she had to move….first year of her colleges was awesome …she joined college's dance team..and made good friends there…but she always felt something is missing …as she is missing life…her life.
After term exam she went back home for New Year….she was preparing for New Years Eve ….. What she is going to wear…what accessories should be…footwear...And all …..She was disturbed by a call and started fuming in anger…… the call was from her friend….their common friend……from her she came to know that he is in the city…how dare he….he is in the city and he don't even called me….she was pacing in anger all over in the room….he ruined all her plans…she didn't attend party…sat alone in her room….she didn't slept that night!!! Whole night she keep on asking herself….why…why she is feeling so weird …what's the big deal if he doesn't told her….why this anger and all….after all….she is just another friend…than why!!!? With all her unanswered questions…
she drifted to sleep…unknowingly she slept on floor that night.
First rays of sun disturbed her sleep….she wanted to sleep more …but these cruel rays doesn't allowing her…so finally she woke up rubbing her eyes…like an 5 year old kid…as soon she gained her senses…her anger rebuilt….and was ready to take revenge… first for not informing her…and second for making her sleep on floor with stupid question… (As per her point of view).
She took her bath and went for breakfast…there one more shock...Or I should say a pleasant surprise waiting for her….he was sitting right in front of her eyes on the dining table with other family members…..she thought she was dreaming…so to confirm, she pinched herself…Ouchhh!!!...all stared at her with confusion and questions written on their faces…. He got up from his seat and went to her… "You ok?" he asked in soft voice…all her anger vanishes at his concerned voice…in response she just blinked her eyelid twice…to which he flashed his hypnotic smile…he offered his hand towards her "come..Have breakfast" he lead her to dining table…now only they both left…both feeling unknown attraction…which something new for them….they were friends for so long…but never felt like this before …she just wanted to move from there…this awkward silence was indigestible… "You want something else beta?" asked Sharon's mom… "No no aunty... m done." he replied… "arre aise kaise done…wait have baby corn…I know you like them…give me few mins to cook them" says Sharon's mom…. To which Sharon quickly jumped in… " haan maa…he loves baby corns…you sit here let me make" and she ran from there…leaving behind her mom and Swayum in total confuse state.
Till now one thing is crystal clear in their hearts that…they are not friends anymore….they are more than friends…but still their relation is unnamed …unsaid….for few more months…the question remains the same …but they knew this is not just dostiii…..this is something more like mohabbat!!
They use to be together…for outings…movies…spending time together as much as they can…now either they both seen together…or both are stick to cell…they can't even stay few without talking to each other….use to save pocket money to buy special gifts…and special dates.
To which life again took a turn…Swayum got placed in US….and Sharon was in her final year…this was once in a life time opportunity for Swayum….but don't know why he just could not accept it….his is the only thing for what he was trying for so long…..but now..when the opportunity is in his hands…..he don't want to go ….. every time he thought to be practical her angelic face comes in front of his eyes…..he had tear in his eyes as the thought of leaving Sharon behind comes to his mind …… "it's not just like mohabbat…its mohabbat…I LOVE YOU Sharon…yes I LOVE YOU!" he said loud and clear…. He got a message from her.. "meet me at the same place…Now!"
He wiped his tear…made his mind …that today he will confess his love for her…soon he reached the restaurant where they usually meet…she was sitting on the same table her face looked pale…the naughty glint which he used to see in her eyes was missing….the sweet smile which kept playing on her lips was missing…all in all she was not the same Sharon he used to know….on the other hand he too was not the same Swayum…he usually stays quite but his silence speaks…but today….he was unusually quite…his eyes which always used to speak were quite today….his presence which makes her smile is missing today….somewhere they both knew the reason why they were there…but it was unsaid…and it's high time to confess their feelings….
He came and sat diagonally opposite to her….he avoid eye contact with her….and ordered something to eat….they both were quite…Sharon tried to read him…and Swayum thinking how to start conversation…meanwhile food came….Swayum took fork and start playing with them….this made Sharon to go crazy on him….she scold him over the top her voice…. "Stop playing with them Swayum….i called you here to talk…and you were sitting quite since last half an hour…. Am I a fool or what…or you don't want to talk" she finished this in one breath…he didn't respond…instead he left those fork and spoon….she calmed herself down and asked him to come and sit beside her…but he refused… this made her even more angry…she sat quite there…her silence was making him mad…imagine the chatter box is quite!!! He gain strength and tries to start conversation…. "So" he said expecting response from her.. "So what??" she replied in her Diva mode….
He start pouring his heart in front of her "Sharon listen to me very carefully…coz I don't know I'll ever be say it again or not….Sharon look straight into his eyes…. Swayum continued….i don't know when …why I started feeling like this….if I look back into life there is only one thing, which remain unchanged… memories of cute childhood…mischievous teenage..or dreamy youth ….is filled with you only….there was a time when distant apart us …but you always remained in my heart…..i use to think about you whole day….try to find new ways to meet you…saving pocket money to buy gifts….always try to do out of the way… initially we were friends….but you'll agree with me that we are not friends any more….our relation is not of friends now…its something else….Sharon today when I thought to go away from you…my heart refused to accept that…the thought being away from you itself killing me….when I closed my eyes and asked my heart with whom I want to live my entire life….it shows your face….yes Sharon…my heart beats only for you….my eyes only wants to see you….my hands want to hold your hands for entire life….i want to complete this journey of life with you….. I LOVE YOU Sharon …I LOVE YOU SO MUCH…. I can't think my life without you….. You make me complete Sharon….Swayum is nothing without Sharon!"
Sharon was quite all this while…. His each word made her alive again…. Her sweet smile which was vanished, playing on her lips again….. Her eyes filled with tears….tears of joy and happiness….finally her Swayum is hers only….forever!
She took a deep breath and replied "I LOVE U TOO….I waited for this so long…and today when I got the news of your placement….I thought m going to lose you… I can't lose you Swayum….. I can't imagine my life without you ….You are my life…I love you Swayum... I …" she choked due to lot happiness and crying together…she got up from her seat and asked "now come on…hug me stupid…take me in your arms" Swayum look around and asked in confused state "Here…??"Sharon again back to her diva mode "Nai tajmahel me hug karna!" and look in different direction Swayum smiled to her answer and took her in his embrace …Sharon too hugs him tightly…. and smiled to his buddhu boyfriend!
She turns the last page of photo album…. Where there wedding pic was pasted…. She moved her hands over it….and said …. "Life is complete with you!!"
