Today I am feeling mixed emotions. Yes, I am not happy with the precap. It upsets me for many reasons but the one thing that I am slightly pleased about is the TR argument set for next epi. Now let me explain in detail...
The gang (girls especially) telling Rey not to hide his identity really bugs me. I know they are friends and friends do offer words of advice and support. But the speciality of this particular gang is that whenever they get involved with anything in relation to Taani, it always ends with Taani feeling isolated. Whether Taani is right or wrong - that is a separate point alltogether. In recent times gang members have been behaving like pests and are often quick to judge Taani. Attending her birthday party is not a certificate of their friendship and loyalty towards her. As far as I remember, they just came for free food 😆
As for Rey, I don't understand him anymore. At times he appears to be a man of conviction. But there are also those times where he seems so confused, he ends up hurting Taani and himself in the process. If he wasn't happy with the idea of hiding his passion then that's fine. But he shouldn't have made that promise to Taani in the first place. Yes, she literally begged him to keep quiet. But even then, he should've been straight with her from the start and told her no. That way, things would've been less painful for both of them. I have said this quite often in the past and I shall say it again - Rey does give preference to his best friends. This has been highlighted on many occasions lately and he fails to acknowledge this. If I was his girlfriend I would run him over 🤣 Just kidding! I am harmless! :P Jokes aside, Rey needs to rethink his treatment of Taani and it's high time he remembered that this is the same girl he was in pieces over. How quickly we humans forget, eh?
And Taani? I love this girl for many reasons but mostly because at times her mistakes remind me of myself 😆 I understand where she's coming from and I know she means well. She is only asking Rey to hide his identity until Tauji can be convinced that dance as a career is perefectly fine. HOWEVER, Taani also needs to understand that what she is asking from Rey is something huge. Dance is such a large chunk of his life. Take that away and there's a void. So to lie about it is very difficult for him. This is precisely why Taani needs to be a bit flexible in her approach. Perhaps she should look at things from Rey's perspective to get a better understanding. I also feel she needs to rediscover herself because at present she seems to be lacking in self belief and is engulfed by too many worries. Taani needs to take a step back and reassess everything in her life. She's beautiful, has a pure heart and cares - maybe a bit too much. So then why the need to walk on egg shells?
Now what happens in the process? Well, both Rey and Taani are both right and wrong in their respective places. But what they don't understand is that their failure to see the other side is simply causing a rift between them. And things will continue to get worse if their issues are not addressed in time. But the one thing that interests me about this track is that at least we shall see TaaRey onscreen - even if they are fighting, at least we have them 😆 So in that I see a plus point :)
Just to add, what I found really interesting was the timing of the passionate sequence on Tuesday. TR's issues were left unresolved but they stil shared a lot of moments together. I guess TaaRey have hardly spent any moments together in recent times and when they do, there's mostly a disagreement. So they reached a point where passions were running high and they simply let go. One has to listen to the heart. It makes a slave out of even the strongest of minds.
So overall I do have mixed reactions about this track. It will be interesting to see how TaaRey overcome this recent obstacle in their relationship. But right now there is a slight danger of them reaching crisis point. Neither of them seems willing to budge and both are right...but also wrong. It is simply a matter of meeting each other half way...but someone needs to take the first step. Trouble is, are either of them in that frame of mind to do so?
