So this is evidently a retaliation to a post/posts that the topic maker has read and been sufficiently miffed by, but my response is to the content of this post as it is, and comes from my point of view, which is to say, from the point of view of someone who hasn't posted against Taani anywhere, but doesn't understand why placating her should involve counting out the 'defects' of other characters before and after her entry. It sort of defeats the point of the point being made here, not talking down a character because of personal opinions where this topic seems to talk down a whole multitude of them...but anyhow.

So for starters, the simple answer to the simple question: yes, for me too Taani has been at the centre of a lot of problems ever since she has entered. And I'd also like to point out here that when I say this, I do not in any way mean that D3 before Taani's entry was Indian television's Garden of Eden. Nor do I mean that all the other characters are or have been epitomes of perfection. D3 like you said yourself, has always had its share of ups and downs, and well, that's pretty much the point of storytelling. As a spectator to that story, I WANT it to have ups and downs...so the problems or the fights are actually not the issue at all. It's how they're done, what reasons are given for them and what logic follows them through, that decides whether I take to them or not. And somehow, many of the problems post Taani's entry have had something or the other to do with her. Sudha has given a good enough list I don't think I need to repeat here, lest the topic maker demands a list from me too. I'm simply saying that slow or simple or naive, Taani has been the centre of a lot of issues, and I can see this happening once, twice, but after a point it gets to me as a viewer. When she entered, to be frank my attitude towards her was one of indifference...I was happy watching SwaRon and the gang and ReYam and dance...but the way her graph was taken, I'm sorry but it felt almost as though the writers didn't WANT me to like her...because unwittingly she became a reason for a lot of things going wrong. And like I said, there's nothing wrong with things going wrong, but consecutive problems with the same source and more problems in sight...I'm afraid that didn't appeal to me at all. And I felt no sympathy for her whatsoever, so her tears just made it that much worse. But that's me.

And here comes the main thing I'd like to say...that when one expresses discontent with a character, or the way it has been portrayed, one is basically expressing disappointment with the WRITING of that character. It's nothing personal, and can be taken with a pinch of salt because at the end of the day Taani does not actually exist. And so, if people have issues with the way a character has been penned, and is shaping up, then well, saying it out is the best way to make sure the penning takes a better direction someday. Because that's the biggest advantage of Taani not existing: that she is the product of someone's imagination, and therefore by definition can be moulded and shaped to be more complete and more appealing over time. If you find her appealing as she is then that's great for you, but if someone else doesn't find her appealing the way you do, well, that's their point of view and they're entitled to express it. It doesn't mean they're saying everything else about the show is, was or has been like Paradise in their living rooms...and there's just something very uncalled-for in counting out the 'defects' in other characters to absolve one character of hers.

Both situations are pretty similar...both ended up doing mistakes which harmed the gang in return...though both the mistakes were done unintentionally but a mistake is a mistake.However,Sharon seeing her team suffer din't retort and shout back at the very 1st go.She understood it was coz of her and thus cried,felt guilty abt it unlike Tanni who is shouting back at ppl where she shud be feeling guilty and shud have been keeping her volume down and NOT throw attitude at ppl who are suffering coz of her mistake.Her boldness all of a sudden is seeming unnecessarily over-smart and thus is irritating to watch.

If you have watched the current episodes you will see the amount of backlash Taani is getting from Rey and she takes it so gracefully and lets it go and doesnt retaliate on his poor attitude towards her.There is a boiling point to everything and this was hers and she wasnt acting oversmart .What did she say that was oversmart.
