"Why is she not responding to my messages?" Amar was pacing back and fro in utter frustration. He continued "She knows it very well it's my birthday today and from past two days she is avoiding me."
"Hey Amar u ready?" A voice called from behind.
"Yeah, coming give me 2 minutes." Amar replied.
AFTER 15 MINUTES
"Come in."
"What's wrong with you dude? Why have you not dressed up? Wait...don't tell me you are not coming out with us." Archie inquired.
"Arreh! I'm coming just give me 2 minutes I'll be ready." Amar tried to control the situation.
"From past 15 minutes you are asking for 2 minutes...tell me how long will it take? Everyone is waiting for you outside. Come fast"
Amar didn't want to convey his mind talks for teasing session to begin but her grand impact couldn't resist and he blurted out "God knows what is wrong with Shakti. She is neither attending my call nor she is texting me."
"U know it she has gone for a long trip...may be busy with her schedule... I m sure whenever she'll get time she'll message you" Archie placed a hand on his shoulder to calm him down.
"I know she won't...I think she has forgotten my birthday that's why she didn't turn up today" Amar's voice was sad
"Chill dude...lets enjoy your day...n when she'll come back she'll be punished for her doers" A small smile curved up on Amar's face as Archie tried to cheer him up.
OUTSIDE THE ROOM
"See whose here? Shantanu cheered
"Finally you are here" Maccie joined him
Amar had wore a dark blue pair of jeans and a white button up shirt of which he had the top two buttons open revealing bits of his bare chest, enough for a girl to go gaga over him. As they were about to go Shantanu took out a bandana out of his pocket and gave it to Archie.
"What's going on guys?" Amar asked with a surprised look on his face.
"We have a surprise for you first, but you can't see it yet, so we have to blindfold you." Archie said as he walked up to Amar.
"I'm not sure if I like this plan of yours" Amar answered nervously.
'You'll like it." Archie smirked as he put on the blindfold.
They carefully escorted Amar outside to the car & went on their way to the party location. When they arrived they carefully escorted Amar out to the car and then towards a building.
"Is this the place where you kill me and leave me behind?" Amar said mockingly.
The guys started laughing. Amar always has a good sense of humour even when he is nervous. It was quiet outside the building. So they carefully led him inside.
"Stay right here. We'll tell you when you can take off your blindfolds." Shantanu said with a soft voice.
Amar nodded as he heard footsteps walking away.
"Okay you can take off your blindfold now." Maccie said smiling.
Carefully Amar took it off, a bit scared of what would come.
"SURPRISE!!!" He heard all of a sudden.
In front of him stood all D3 team with cast and crew, his DID friends, some special ones & many more people all together in a big decorated room...
Amar was speechless; he couldn't come out with his emotions. His friends ran over to him & took him in a big group hug.
"We thought we would skip dinner this year. We worked on this party for weeks." Sneha smiled. Amar could only smile back.
Everyone at the party congratulated him & gave him some presents. From the guys and girls he got a combined gift which was elegant and beautiful.
He was sad but also got a bit angry. His friends threw him a big party while Shakti didn't even bother to send her as little as a text message & the least he could do for one night was forget about her and have fun. He danced with his friends & started to enjoy himself.
This turned into sadness as he saw a big picture of his & Shakti on the huge screen in the front of the room. The whole time different pictures of Amar would keep changing as there were pictures of him as a little boy, but also at school, on holiday with his friends, the DID days, the fun they had on sets and now one with Shakti that was taken on her last day at set in which Amar was feeding her a piece of cake. All of a sudden Shakti appeared on the screen.
"Kunwar...Kunwar, can u hear me?" Shakti asked. Amar was shocked and couldn't even speak. The whole room went quiet.
"Kunwar, are u there? I can't see you or hear you. But I hope you will get this message. I'm so sorry I can't be there on your birthday. It's really the biggest disappointment in my life. I haven't had the chance to get in contact with you for the past two days, but I had my reasons. I wish I was there and I hope you have the best 27th birthday that anyone has ever had. I sent something over to the party which I'm hoping is gonna make things a little better. I'm sorry I can't be there but hopefully this will make things out right now." She said with a smile.
Amar was shocked. His mouth fell open as he turned around to look at his friends with a 'what's going on? Is this for real?' look on his face & then back to the front of the room. He felt ashamed for thinking about her like this. After all they are best friends. He could have trusted her. His Shakti had remembered his birthday. This was the most touching present for him which was priceless.
As he was covering up from his guilt, he saw a shadow appearing from behind some people. The shadow was wearing a green short dress, tightly fitted to her bodice giving an outline of her feminity. Wait! Was she Shakti? Yes she was there appearing as the son plops up in the morning brightening the aurora.
Amar's eyes gleamed with the mixture of surprise and joy. Shakti was walking up to him holding out her arms. "Come here" she said smiling.
Amar was in still in shock and walked up to Shakti. When they reached each other it didn't take a fraction of second to hold themselves in a massive hug. "I missed you so much! Happy birthday Kunwar" Shakti whispered in his ear. Tears started appearing in her eyes. She had missed Kunwar a lot so as well he. She moved her hands around Amar's neck placed her head in the crook of his neck & hugged him tightly not wanting to let him go. It was Amar's turn to comfort her. He moved his hand up and down her back to try and calm her down. They stayed like that for few minutes.
"How I mean when did uhmm... U g-get here?" Amar asked still startled.
"You thought I forgot about your birthday?" Shakti asked with a smile as she backed out of the hug a little which made them look at each other. Amar nodded embarrassed.
"I got back yesterday afternoon" Shakti stopped to explain which made Amar's eyes grew bigger in surprise.
"I'll start from the beginning. The day before yesterday I got to know that I can leave for Mumbai so thought of surprising you. I immediately contacted Archie & the others on Skype so that I could tell them all at once and took the promise to keep it a secret. I helped coming up with this party and I thought it would be perfect if I would appear directly in the party. So we made the clip, that u saw, this afternoon, so it would look like I was still on my tour and that I taped it or something, while I was hiding in the back waiting for the clip to over & I could come out." Shakti said kinda nervous. She was hoping Amar wasn't mad at her. But to her surprise Amar jumped forward and gave her a big hug.
"I'm so happy you are back!" He whispered in her ears.
"I'm so happy to be back!" Shakti answered wrapping her arms around Amar.
Shakti was starting to get a bit more confident. She was ready to tell Amar about her feelings. She had already been so far to him so she didn't want to lose this chance. But as a girl she wanted Amar to ask her but what if he doesn't have the same feelings. She was in no mood to ruin their friendship, so decided to stay quiet.
As these thoughts were taking over her mind, Amar interrupted "Now as you are back can you help me with something?" He looked hopeful into her eyes as he broke the hug this time. Those big dark eyes, those should be banned, they are that beautiful.
"Uhh...Sure. What is it?"
"Well I'm in love with a girl and I want to ask her to be my girlfriend." Amar said with his signature crooked smile. The words felt like a knife running through Shakti's heart.
"You want me to help you get a g-g-girlfriend?" Shakti stuttered. Amar nodded with pleading eyes. Damn those eyes. Shakti couldn't say no.
"Okay I guess." She answered which made Amar grin like crazy.
"Do I know her?" Shakti asked and Amar nodded.
"Has she ever hung out with us?" Again Amar nodded.
"I have no idea who you are talking about. Who is she?"
"I'm looking at her." Amar said scratching the back of his head.
Shakti looked behind her to see if someone was behind her who Amar was talking about. She looked back at Amar with a confused look on her face.
"Let me give you a hint." Amar said as he leaned forward, placed a hand on her cheek and his lips followed to touch her lips. She was in shock. Here she was about to tell him about her feelings, when she was shot down by his confession and now he was kissing her! The kiss was short. Too short for both of them. Amar pulled away & looked at Shakti nervously. She looked at him still with a confused look on her face. Was this really happening?
"Shakti I'm in love with you. I never thought I could say this to you but it's true and I think my birthday is the best day to confess my love for you. See, how strange this is? In the flow of time we met and we separated be it after DID or D3 but our fate always get us together. We never found each other but our fate did and I think this is what destiny is. Thousand pair of eyes can't lie; they must have seen something in us for which they put on everything to see us as a couple. I don't know what to say further but I love you Shakti. I really, really do" Amar said looking deep down in her eyes.
"I can't believe this." Shakti almost whispered. Amar looked at her worried. He was scared he had ruined their friendship by his confession. Amar was about to apologize when Shakti cut him off.
"I love you too Kunwar. I can't get the best dancer, the best friend and now the best lover than you. You said it right we are destined to be ONE" Shakti said shyly looking down.
As she was about to look up her lips felt the sensation by his pair of lips. It was a soft sweet kiss. Amar placed his hand on her cheek. Shakti slowly placed her hand at the back of his neck. Their lips moved perfectly together. After a while they had to stop for some air.
Amar caressed Shakti's cheek with his thumb and their forehead were pressed against each other as always.
"Do you want to be love of my life?" Amar asked softly.
"Yes! More than anything." Shakti said with a huge smile and gave him another hug.
"It's official guys" A voice cracked from behind, it was Archie, which made ArSha blush. Amar wasn't mad at his friends for keeping it a secret that Shakti had returned the day before, he was happy that his friends planned all this.
The song Khuda Jaane was playing symbolising their eternal love. It was the perfect song for a new start or say to revive their old time hidden love memories.
"Do you want to dance with me?" Amar whispered in Shakti's ear when she was talking to her friends. She turned around Amar's neck as he placed his hands around her waist. Shakti rested her head in the crook of his neck and they danced the whole song.
"I love You" Amar said with his signature smile again.
"I Love You too" Shakti whispered as she wrapped her arms around Amar's neck and pulled him in for a kiss.
DESTINY DESTINED THEM AGAIN THIS TIME ITS FOREVER...
