Mrignayani and Purushdutt to die in Imagine's Chandragupta Maurya!

The most popular historical show on Imagine, Chandragupta Maurya will see some changes soon in the upcoming episodes. Pivotal characters Mrignayani (Yashashree Masurkar) and Purushdutt (Romanch Mehta) are all set to make an exit from the show and breathe their last.

According to the sources, Chandragupta (Ashish Sharma) has finally reached the place where Chanakya (Manish Wadhwa) has been imprisoned in the coming episodes. Mrignayani will commit suicide and Purushdutt will also breathe his last in an attempt to save Chanakya. But at the end, Chandragupta will finally manage to rescue Chanakya from Dhanananda's clutches.

Yashashree Masurkar aka Mrignayani who has already shot the death sequence told, "Mrignayani's character was supposed to be an important and long one initially, but it was cut short. It's just that as an actor I felt my character did not have much to do in a male-dominated show. Hence, I preferred to walk out".

Furthermore, the source told about the story which initially deviated from its main plot will now re-focus on Chandragupta, Chanakya and Dhananand. Viewers will once again get to witness the teacher-student relationship between Chanakya and Chandragupta.
