He doesn't even bother to confront Helena about this, or doesn't even get a whiff of what Helena just did. This was the biggest mistake Helena could have done to reveal how her goal was to separate Bindusar and Chandra; but no one -- not even Chanakya -- questioned that move of hers.I'm not against romance, but it has to be done cleverly and with taste, it has to be done uniquely and with style and elegance. It shouldn't dumb down the other qualities just to enhance one particular quality.

Exactly. Take these two scenes from the serial:Scene 1: Helena comes to Chandra to discuss the marriage of Alice and Kartikey. Chandra, interestingly, shows interest in this and doubles down on Helena to make sure that this isn't some plot of hers.Scene 2: Chandra calls the family into the court room to reveal the truth about Durdhara's death to Bindusar. He tells Helena to bring Bindusar to the courtroom, and then when Bindusar tells him that he knows the truth already courtesy of Helena, all Chandra does is look shocked. He doesn't even bother to confront Helena about this, or doesn't even get a whiff of what Helena just did. This was the biggest mistake Helena could have done to reveal how her goal was to separate Bindusar and Chandra; but no one -- not even Chanakya -- questioned that move of hers.As romantic as the serial is trying to be, does it have to sacrifice every single other quality a character may have to enhance the "romantic" angle of things especially when it's slapping them in the face continuously. That's just horrible story-telling. For 10 years, Chandra did nothing but pine for Nandini while Helena took the reigns of the kingdom to ensure that it lasted. She may have selfish motives, but shit she has more balls than Chandra.I'm not against romance, but it has to be done cleverly and with taste, it has to be done uniquely and with style and elegance. It shouldn't dumb down the other qualities just to enhance one particular quality.Another thing is I'm not sure how much people differentiate between character and actor, and obviously some people do blur those lines and believe that the actor is really the character. You can't really argue with the latter bunch since they will come at you with claws. 😆😆😆 But it's fun to piss them off 😉😉

*comes back*Hey everyone! I'm the new and improved guenhwyvar 2.0, now without any negativity. I love rajat tokas and swetha. OMG did you guys see them. They were sooo cute in today's episode. It made me blush so much when I saw them touching each other. Eeep. It was like so magical. Did you see the love in each other's eyes. It was mystical. You could literally see the other person in the other's dark orbs. ROCKING SCENE, best part hands down. Even though the entire episode was okay, that scene just made my day. It was like boom, day made. And then when Chandra touched Nandini, it just brought shivers up my spine. They are frickin acting gods!!! It's like step aside SRK, there is a new sexy beast named Rajat baby. YOU GO RAJAT BABY! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!And that scene where that thing happened. Ohh my heart stood still. It was like.. Chandra you got this man. You got this. Don't do it CHANDRA, Don't FRICKIN DO IT. And then he didn't do it and I was like ohhh so relieved. He scared me there quite good. Ekta .. .you naughty naughty girl. What are you doing. You're so silly sometimes, scaring me like so.

The guy was so busy being the Devdas and now so busy being the Majnu that he cares a damn about his son. He knows very well that Helena is misusing Bindusar still is doing nothing to stop it. He knows how Helena and her mother are but still no action is taken. What kind of a father... sorry what kind of a king is he ? Is his entire life only about Nandini ? Such characters are so pathetic. 🤢With Nandini's return, you expect to see him back as the great king but you are disappointed. He still will listen to Nandini like a joru ka ghulam. Thanks to the writer, Nandini is shown smart. Just imagine if she wasn't. He would be ruined by now. 🤣I never found Chandra and Nandini hot TBH. Sometimes they sound funny and cute but there is nothing hot about them. More than them even Karthikey and Dharma or Bindu and Dharma have chemistry. 😆Now you get out from this forum before the phans start throwing joote. 😆

Binge watched last 30 odd episodes of this show on hotstar and I have to say I totally agree with this post.. I love period dramas and that was the reason I decided to give it a go.. liked few episodes and some not so much.. and the episode you mentioned falls in the later category.. I understand Chandra's got the love of his life back after many years and so he wants to be around her all the time.. though I don't get how it is practical for the emperor to have that much time on his hands 24*7.. the romance scenes between Chandra and Nandini are poorly written.. there's is supposed to be this one of a kind eternal romance .. what they are showing is comical and forced.. just coz the actors have chemistry doesn't mean they can make meaningless scenes like the ones mentioned in the original post, look romantic.. that graphic mosquito sitting on her waist and Chandra staring at it.. Nandni running with a sword in her hand to kill the mosquito on Chandra nose.. what are they? high school kids? I am all for cute , mushy romance.. this is not that.. it's irritating, silly and comical in a bad way..

Ahh a typical crazed fan reply.👏👏You want to know how I know? You took the key word in my post and spit it back at me. It's a signature mark of sorts.Though there isn't a problem with that - I like healthy discussions, but yikes I expected a bit more for someone who's been watching CN for over a year to fairly attribute and take due criticism (especially since I backed it up with evidence) for ONE EPISODE. I'm admittedly fairly new because I'm a fan of Siddharth Nigam (Bindusar) and joined when he was introduced, but it's going to be about two months now, so I think it's fair to have my own opinion, since I have been through 100 "La-la-laaa" scenes already. But all that aside, let's see what you have to say:Hahah I believe everyone bashed Swetha in the beginning for her inability to act alongside Rajat. Sure they were Rajat fans who were bashing so ... so clearly biased from the beginning, despite having a clear lack in good taste, but tis the life of hardcore fans. It's an Ekta Kapoor show about love and drama. The audience sucks this stuff up like no other. This show is only surviving because a) the genre and b) RT fans.
Chandra Nandini romance is soul of the show and right from these two superb actors have given life to chandra nandini characters
You can say that about any historical / mytho show in particular. We're not used to such scenes so when someone displays something different, our mind automatically projectsThe show is about romance and that's fine -- nothing wrong with that -- but it's done in a tasteless manner and it's that same repeated Ekta style. This doesn't push TV serials ideas forward, it forces them to a complete stop, if not push them backwards.Ekta Kapoor may be famous for her serials, but she's destroyed the Indian TV serial industry.
this devine romance of Chandra Nandini have been saving grace of show and highlights of show and plus they are adults not under age kids ! If it was underage kids like 14 years to 16 years doing so like fall on each other, bath together etc etc then even I would say its not only disgustting to see but puke worthy also😆but here leads are grown up adults, matured professional actors.
Ahh the bath scene. Okay, give me a second to read what I wrote.Okay, I'm back and of course it tickled your nerves.😆😆Being adults and professional actors have nothing to do with this. I was referring to what the plot was showing. The breakdown of what's been happening so far:Prabha is actually Nandini with Amnesia, we know that. But what we've seen consistently is Chandra running after Prabha, doing whatever he wanted with Prabha, and essentially crossing that line. Prabha has constantly tried to get Chandra to back off since she's a married woman, but he still has his way.The show pushes this off as Chandra's immense love and affection for Nandini. But Prabha doesn't know she's Nandini, and she is continuouslybrainwashed as such. Even Bhadraketu joins in praising Mama-Shri saying that his type of love can never be wrong, Prabha is definitely Maharani Nandini. And then after convincing Prabha that she's actually Nandini, Prabha finally accepts that she's Nandini. But Chandra, being the typical hero, says that he won't touch her until she's accepted Chandra as her husband. And the only thing that he does to show this is not sleep with her. Basically, he still does whatever he wants, except having sex, and that's perfectly fine apparently, except it's not because it now reduces Chandra-Nandini to a sexual relationship. And that's being brushed over because remember, Chandra Nandini is the greatest love story in the world (exaggerating), so clearly it's not at all sexual and he does these little "harkats" to show his love for Nandini. Now let's go to the scene you mentioned -- Nandini was in the bathing room and Chandra barges in. Since Dharma is entering, and Chandra refuses to find a proper hiding spot (even though there were a ton), Nandini has to pull Chandra underwater. But even then Chandra can't keep his hands off Nandini. After Dharma leaves, Nandini asks Chandra to leave, but he refuses and suggests they bathe together. Is that disgusting on an actor basis, of course not, why would it be? Is it pathetic twist for a story-line? Very much so.
Coming back to show here makers very well know what they are showing and what people like. Fans who watch show want to see romance of Chandra Nandini not under age kids romance or them falling on each other chest or bathing together😡its cringe worthy
Both those sentences are complete opposite. On one hand you defend what the show makers are showing because they know what people like, but on the other hand, you dislike their use of kiddie romance.
here makers know when and where king (Chandra) should behave like king and where he should act romantic and here they show CN romance in their bed room. So one will know very well how one behaves with partners there. Its how we all do or will do be it in real or be it reel telly couples[/quote[Chandra acts romantic everywhere. EVERYWHERE.Take the recent discussion for the upcoming war -- Chandra sees Nandini and excuses himself. He holds her hand during that scene after he announced Kartikey and Alice's engagement / wedding date. He barges into bathing chambers, etc. These characters aren't 21st century characters ... they are part of a completely different time period.Speaking of that scene -- for humor purposes, we saw Chandra grab hold of someone else's hand ... and who else would it be but a rather large woman. That part was pure disgusting and offensive. It's like Ekta was making fun about how ugly large women are.
here people die to watch such scenes of shweraj who are saving grace of show and makers very well know it that .even if they show just eye locks of CN or them just slipping into each others arm also it will make fans happy and give them Trp...this is the charm of rajat and shweta and like I said show was promoted as love story mainly .so in telly love story means such scenes are common
Love scenes / genres aren't bad, but it needs to be done in a tasteful manner. Ekta continuously damages this genre, but it's lapped up because as you say -- it only takes an eye lock or slipping into each other's arms to make fans happy.
Like how majoirty people fast forward leap chatcters who are yawn worthy for them😆
😆😆
If show is ending better enjoy the show. Be it new fans or old fans just enjoy last few days. CN fans will enjoy what they like and forward other scenes and same applies to other fans watch what you like and fast forwarded other scenes. that's it. Simple😆then we all can stay happy and respect other fans feeling😆
Ehh what fun is that. Let's bring on the Ekta Drama into our lives as well. Humor aside, that's a good way to see things, albeit a bit boring naa?
One more thing. CN romance is not new its one year now and show is surviving because of their romance and rajat shweta performance, chemistry and just because you don't like this show, particular jodi or their scenes it does not mean you can bash them in post. What if same things were said and bashed about your favorites in name of criticism? ?none will take it! There are people who watch show only for them and because of those people show is still getting trp.we can criticise characters in healthy way but we have no rights here to bash actors or characters. There is difference between healthy criticisms and bashing.so don't instigate fan wars etc
So close. You had me second thinking your post with the second to last paragraph. I wasn't sure if you were the "crazed fan" I initially believed.Let's dance. You've mentioned CN's romance and the chemistry of SweRaj a bunch of times. That's your only defense for the show -- a) it's romantic, b) SweRaj rock, and c) fans love it.All I did was call out ONE scene where admittedly, neither actor could perform appropriately, pictures included. I even gave them credit saying that there some moments where they managed to grasp some form of the emotion they were seeking. But for actors who have been working on this show for about a year, you would expect the chemistry, the bonds, the emotions to gradually increase as the comfort level between those two increased. But from what I can see (and I watched CN in the beginning, before I grew tired of it), nothing has changed. They still can't act, they still can't emote. I brushed that aside and pointed out one of the biggest flaws in a romantic serial, and yet you believe that I was bashing RT and SP.That's the problem with people ... they put their favorite actor on a high pedestal, and then forgive them of all their flaws because somehow or other, apparently fans shouldn't have a single negative thought about their favorites. And then you have those who apparently think that bashing exists in every single form of criticism. These people immediately hunt down those with different opinions because they can't see the different between bashing and criticizing. You want to see what bashing sounds like:All the child actors can act and have acted better than Rajat Tokas. That's bashing. Criticism is when you support a genuine flaw that you pointed out.A criticism would look like:Rajat Tokas should slow down his dialogues. He is trying to emote a romantic feeling, but he just spits out his dialogues as quick as possible. He needs to introduce some pauses here and there. Why even go that far to believe there was bashing. Why not do the appropriate thing and provide an appropriate rebuttal with some evidence? Because replying to a basher is more fun.You want to bash my favorites in the guise of criticism - Siddharth Nigam (from this show at least)- go ahead and bash Siddharth. I'll either reply back with decent support from the serials, or I'll ignore you because it's your opinion and I respect it / hardly care about it.I never mentioned that I don't like the show, the actors, the jodis, etc. Yesterday's episode was particularly flawed and I mentioned it. Why should I brush it aside because the show's ending or because some fans accept everything blindly.Fanwars are started because neither side has a grasp on what bashing is and what criticism is. Everything is in the scope of insults, even healthy criticism or even a non-related post.I criticized the characters, the director, and the story line for the most part. The ending was also similar, except I pointed out the flaws in the actors' emotions. And still ... *shrugs* sigh...
