lnfact it was a miscalculated act of chanakya and cgm which turned out to be massive failure , not once but many times, there is a story that chanakya heard a woman talking to her grandson , she asked him to eat the rotti from the corner than eating the middle part and also she asked not to behave like cgm as he attacked magadh directly before capturing its border

After hearing this, cgm and chanakya captured the borders of magadh and waged war against nandh , it took appx 9-10 yrs for CGM to oveIrthrow nandh dynasty

Chandra is running away from magadh army searching for him everywhere, no one will give him shelter as if they do and get caught nand will finish them and their family. So CGm actually spent many years in hidding in deep forests and even with lions and wild animals. Indeed quiet a few times wild animals frightened the magadh soldiers and saved CGM from death or getting caught. That is why you see lion was magadh- maurya dynasty symbol because CGm was saved by lions quiet a few times and so he developed a bond with them while living in forest. CGM life was not all glamour and action, it was a very tough and hard life that serial or movies will never show(as it will not fetch TRP). If you read history books on CGM life story you will realize he had a hard life (especially first 30-35 years) with constant wars and defeats and threat to life and running from enemy etc.

Self conceited egoistical Malaayaketu not only stopped her talwar baji,but her reading habits(in a bound book??) and ultimately indulges in rape...very fine characterization

Why the Nand is afraid of Sunanda ?

Alexander the Great is dead.Helena has contacted Chandra in no time(???) for the meeting of upcoming war

Now we have 3 heroines handy...our curiosity mounts..though they skip many events..a fine episode

And characters are also shaped well and rajat nails in his each entry and now they r rushing to CN marriage so that the main plot get started so now we get to see a Usain bolt speed in every scenes once the CN marriage track starts CVS will become tortoise

Its a fact that Chanakya & Chandragupta fail in there initial first attempt to capture Maghadh. But manages to win in the latter attempt. It is also mentioned in history that after Chanakya here a lady talk about the fault in the plan that he realizes that first he should capture the kingdom close to Maghadh & then in the end attack it.

Its true that Chandragupta marries Selucus daughter Helena. But after defeating him in battle. But the said battle will take place only after Chandragupta becomes Emperor of Maghadh.

CGM dynasty runs approximately 2300 year backs There are no proper textual information The existing controversial and confusing facts are from the historian Magasthenese ,jain and Greek scriptures.

As you said CGM married Helena after he became the Samrat(from history)..But Ms Ekta has liberty to handle and correlate the facts as per her research(the CN team had done an extensive research)
