Well I think the makers of Ashok are the same people that made the show Rana Pratap as well. There are similarities.
In the show Rana Pratap, they showed that Prince Pratap was nearly burnt Alive, ( Bundi Sequence) & is saved miraculously by Chundavat Sardars. Here too Prince Ashok is going through the same thing. Sushim & Jaganath try to burn Ashok alive but is saved by Acharya Radha Gupt.
Rana Pratap too was fast forwarded in the end as makers had no time left to show the events in Rana Pratap's life. Now with Ashok also same thing. The story will be fast forwarded as no time left.
Long ago even Ekta Kapoor shows followed a pattern that all main characters in all show had to go through the symptom of amnesia. Now this production house is also starting some pattern of same kind.
