I am a huge fan of Mohit Raina from DKDM days. So I started watching the show for him.

I must admit he was not the MR we were used to watching. I thought he was OTT and hammed a lot. He has pulled such shades far better in previous shows. I wonder what happened to his nuance? Pallavi Subhash does not look like his mother from any angle and looks younger than him.

Soumya was not that impressive either and way too petite for the role IMO.

I suggest actors please tone down their overacting and not snarl much or spread out arms like goons in order to appear bitter and aggressive. The body language was a let down.

I have seen better stuff than this. From the same actors. I was expecting more but it didn't live up to the hype.

TBH I agree with u completely. MR was mighty impressive in DKDM. The roles of both shiv and Jalandhar were were fabulously portrayed by him so I had high expectations.

But I'm not at all impressed with him in this current avatar. Age is not an issue. Arjun is doing a good job in Naagin (saw a few episodes on Ytube before they stopped uploading lol😆).

But MR IMO is looking extremely bulky and worn out for this role. He's looking older than his parents Dharma and Bindusar.

Also he's overdoing on the expressions part. There's no need to shout it out to prove that ur a "chand" by continuous shouting. He needs to be more subtle.

And Karuwaki. Man she's terrible. Why didn't they consider Sanjeeda Sheikh who was also shortlisted for this role. 🥱 She's a fine actress (atleast in EHT which we so much enjoyed)

Now I'm forced to say that Reem who played the younger Karuwaki was so much better (Now did I say that??)

The only person whom I'm impressed with is the elder Radhagupt. His presence is making a powerful impact on screen (based on what I saw today in between IPL ads😆)

Hope they give him enough screen presence.

Mohit Raina was a seriously colossal disappointment.
I had temporarily takeen a back seat in the forum with the ridiculous scrips spoiling the brilliant show. Leap announced, and I made the mistake of thinking something will get better.
I admit I had hoped much more from Mohit Raina. He is a brilliant actor, however ill - suited to playing Ashok. His body structure makes him out to be a strength based fighter. Younger Ashok (Siddhart) was a speed based one. This difference alone makes the whole think look ridiculous and harder for acceptance.
Dharma and Bindusar, can't they have got a white hair at least. I mean at least a strip of it. Would have made it look more realistic.
Vit...the kid loves his brother. Good, Ashok has enough backstabbing brothers.
I am glad RG changed. He looks wiser and calmer. Gave me a Chanakya type feeling. Maybe now he will be able to play the game properly. He was too obvious before.
Devi, I would love to see the story proceed actually. Truthfully speaking I have an avid contempt towards the character of Karuwaki and it seems the CV's are determined to cast people who are even more ill-suited for the character.
Now I just wonder what's gonna happen in the future. Hoping for the best!

Her first show was Navya with Shaheer Shaikh...she was ok in it but yeah not at all ok in CAS

Caught a glimpse of the show after ages, and I gotta say, pretty disappointed with Mohit as Ashoka. Siddarth was absolutely fabulous in the role, subtle when need be, but also able to muster an array of emotions in a second. I found Mohit way too OTT and his expressions in general were very odd at times. And his body threw me off as well, much too bulky. It definitely looked like he lifted (which I'm guessing the actor does LOL) but not necessarily a lean warrior's body, which Siddarth possessed. Hence, he kinda looked artificial too. And finally, his looks. I mean, Mohit is a fine looking man, Mahadev is proof of that. But he just looks so painfully miscast next to Pallavi, she looks so much younger than him! It's actually ridiculous LOL. Even Bindusar looks much younger and I remember thinking that actor looked old for his age!

Similarly, I wasn't really feeling the new Radhagupt actor. I found the old one to be a really great sly and cunning teacher. He acted in a manner that expressed Radhagupt to be this clever, sharp-witted type of guy. This new one is a tad bit too stoic for my liking and doesn't really seem to give off that effortlessly sly aura the old one did. Although the actor isn't doing a bad job, I'm just not a huge fan of his portrayal. Maybe it'll grow on me?

Yeah post ANYTHING related to CAS here. Rants, curses, essays, poems, spoofs, analysis etc. 😆 We are mature people and dont take offence at all.

And I havent watched the episodes but i had an indication that Somya cant play a warriors role. The sword fighting was good but thats the end.

She is my fav actress and i was so excited to watch her on screen after a long time but she is a miscast going by updates. not everybody can do anything.

I guess i just have to ignore acting and keep . 😡🥱😆
