I was happy when I heard MR is doing CAS among all the names that made rounds for future Ashok. Boy, am I disappointed! Whenever I watch him, I remind myself"he's Ashok, he's Ashok". How awful is that! I knew Soumya was a misfit for the role and she's proving me right so far.
Loved new Sushim, Ankit(?) is doing amazing. Great continuity/ transition of younger to grown up character.

But most amazing thing is Dharma hasn't aged a day in these ten yrs.

Indeed, Dharma and new Ashok look very strange together as mother and son. Maybe the actress insisted on that.

They've changed Shubhrsi, Charu. They look bit different, not old but tad grown, but not our ever youthful Dharma. Whenever Chand calls her Maa, I cringe a lil. He looks older than his momma. Dharma must have found some fountain of youth and not wanna share with anyone. LoL.

Very true.

While the new Sushim resembles the old one, in looks, mannerisms and expressions and the conversion seems seamless, Ashoka looks entirely different. MR hasn't tried to assimilate and incorporate even bits of Sid. And looks so old, to add to the woes.

Over all episode was ok after avoiding some unwanted people .thank god ashoka confused dharma about sushim otherwise we have to see another slap of dharma.khallatak seen was funny iam wishing so much at that time that his dream come true and in reality ashoka should hold these neck.jaggu dont have any other job or things related to his kingdom other than spying on his daughter he is damn irritating.and what was that chakravartin chand he is saying that as if he is universal chand cv can do anything. 🤣

Okay, first of all,why is Mohit not like Sid? It is so because Mohit is not Sid.Both of them are different actors and both of them have their own methods of performing. They act in different ways so it's obvious that their performance is not similar.

Another reason is that Ashok's characterization has undergone a massive change post leap. The grown up Ashok is multi layered. The adult Ashok has to be ruthless, cold and even cruel at times.More calculative and less impulsive.Basically the character is not what it was earlier.Mohit's Ashok is different from Sid's Ashok. And in my opinion Mohit is playing his part brilliantly.

And for those who think that Mohit looks too old to play Ashok,I will beg to disagree. He is in his early thirties and not some 70-80 year old man.More ever ,Ashok is supposed to look more matured post leap.Because the situations and occurances in his life left an ever lasting impact on him.He needs to look like a seasoned warrior,a ruthless emperor,a master politician and a benevolent ruler too.I think that Mohit fits the bill perfectly.Because he has the physique and built for a fierce warrior and the regal and majestic aura of an Emperor as well.

As far as Sushim is concerned, then Sushim's character has undergone no major changes apart from his newly acquired superpowers.Unlike Ashok,Sushim's character is unidimensional. Therefore that character bears similaritities to the pre leap character. The only difference is the actor playing that character.Sumedh was marvellous as Sushim and Ankit is equally good.

The rest is with the CVs.It's purely their fault that they are not exploring the different facets of Ashok's character.Instead of showing him Ashok as a Romeo they should depict the various shades of his personality.Otherwise Mohit is a powerful actor and his perfomance is terrific.
