No I think the real reason why he wanted sushim to win this time was that ashok is so adamant not to take the throne. Chanakya wanted him to lose because only then it might make him realise the importance of the throne and make him fight for it. Chanakya is great👏

Ashok is much more capable than sushim and there is no doubt about it. But Sushim is trained while Ashok isn't. So if Chanakya wanted, he could have taught basics to Ashok and trained him for the questions which could have been asked. But he chose not to teach him anything.

Again, When in the last round, Ashok was against punishing the imaginary Mother(who killed her criminal son), Chanakya took Sushim's side and made him win. Although, he just supported what was right, it is also true that Chanakya can easily prove right as wrong and wrong as right with his tricky words. But he again chose not to help Ashok.

These incidents indicates that Chanakya wanted Sushim to win. The reason may be that Ashok's abilities are already proven and there is no need to further prove it. Now its time for Sushim to prove his disability. Chanakya knows very well that Sushim, after becoming the temporary king, will definitely display his cruelty and his inefficiency thus making Ashok's way to throne more easier.

Aap ne to mere man ki baat boldi , just waiting to see shiyamak to know the truth and joining hands with ashok to teach susim a lesson .

I too feel that as a Prabhari Raja all the bad qualities of Sushim will come out all will know and the joint efforts of Charumitra and Kalkatak wont be able to save him from doom
