great to see you.

just saw today's episode. and though very television soap, loud, i must say i liked it.

i am always moved by the story of ashok... planning to watch.

thanks for that article.

after ipk, this is the first show i feel like seeing. the actress who is doing dharma, i have seen her somewhere else, years ago, can't recall the name of the show, but she is good.

and i have been to sarnath, that whole ashok thing... incredible.

this greek and khorasan angle, while i am vaguely aware of the greek story with alexander and selucas, no idea of khorasan, i do hope they stick to the basic historical ideas...

and chanakya by manoj joshi... looks like this is going to be big and exciting television drama... i liked helen too.

see you.

Indi 😃 gr88 to see you here at least now we can be in a common thread again if you plan to see this show and also post lovely analysis. I too have seen to Sarnath and also Down South we have a few places of Buddhist interest and also Ashoka. Hope they develop the story well and not fictionalize it too much. I have posted some points in the sticky history thread do read some posts there are pretty good.

SOMETHING for the men you find intriguing what Nehru wrote in Discovery of India about them he could visualize them they intrigued many gr88 men and persons and still doing so after so many centuries some of their policies still relevant to this day who ruled over a gr88 part of INdia bringing so many diverse people under one head

Ashoka's pillars of

stone with their inscriptions would speak to me in their magni-

ficent language and tell me of a man who, though an emperor,

was greater than any king or emperor.

At Fatehpur-Sikri, Akbar,

forgetful of his empire, was seated holding converse and debate

with the learned of all faiths, curious to learn something new and seeking an answer to the eternal problem of man.
