The difference between Sid and Nivi's marriage is, both made a sincere effort and never looked back at their past post marriage. While Viren's loving gestures helped Nivi transition and fall for Viren easily, in Sid's case, though he tried sincerely to keep Divya happy, he never actually received much cooperation, except that first night words, from Divya.

Hence, when one couple is transitioning from friendship to love, other could not even keep the friendship also alive.
