Jo and Cleo get the BOOED

Evictees Cleo and Jo ... leave the house to boos and jeers

By MELISSA KENT
January 26, 2007

JO O'Meara and Cleo Rocos were BOOED and JEERED as they left the Big Brother house in a shock double eviction.

Ex-S Club 7 singer Jo was immediately apprehensive when she heard the crowd booing her as host Davina McCall called her named.

"They're booing. Didn't you hear it? 'Kick Jo out' - that's what they're saying," Jo told the other housemates fearfully.

"I knew it was me. Everyone was screaming 'Get Jo Out.'"

As they bid farewell to the remaining housemates, Jo said: "I'm shaking like a leaf," but Cleo replied: "I'm not."

Of the votes cast, 48 per cent voted to evict Jo and 28 per cent voted to evict Cleo.

Public opinion turned against Jo when she was perceived to be part of the allegedly racist bullying of fellow housemate Shilpa Shetty - led by Jade Goody.

Jo grew increasingly nervous as she climbed the interior stairs and was led by the hand by Cleo onto the stage.

It is unusual for two housemates to leave the house together - a move perhaps orchestrated by Channel 4 to help Jo endure the animosity of the crowd.

Danielle burst into tears when she heard the crowd booing her friend.

"They're saying horrible things about Jo -'get Jo out, get Jo out'," Danielle sobbed.

Shilpa and H tried to reassure her, saying it was impossible to hear exactly what the crowd was saying.

Cleo and Jo now meet Davina for their first post-Celebrity Big Brother interviews.

Cleo Gets The Heave-Ho
Friday 26 January
Day 24, 21:28
Cleo joins Jo as they leave the Celebrity Big Brother House...
Cleo, you have been evicted.

The foxy lady is 7th person to leave the CBB House gaining 27.9% of the public vote.

Oh Cleo, it could all have been so different... If only you hadn't insisted on dressing up in character and terrorising the other housemates with your 'hilarious' antics.

Story continues below

Like a glamorous Jekyll and Hyde, Cleo thought nothing of sticking on a wig, slapping on some extra lippy and becoming the alter ego monster that was 'Tiara' whenever peace and love threatened to reign in the House.

It all started so well. Cleo bonded with Jo and Danielle on Day 6 over champagne and eyeliner tattoos, bawled on Day 9 at Jackiey's shock departure, tried to teach Danielle what a limerick is on Day 14, and offered her diamonds to Ian on Day 16.

She was one of the House peacekeepers (and goodness knows it needed those), being quick to comfort both parties when Jade and Shilpa had that argument.

Sadly it all turned sour on Day 18 when 'Tiara' made an unwelcome play for Dirk and The A-Teamer was less than gentlemanly in rejecting her advances. Cleo responded by sniping at Dirk's dance moves (gasp!) and it was pretty much downhill from there.

So long Cleo, we'll miss you - but will we miss Tiara..?
