well obvious to us as we know this since childhood coz since primary school days we are taught Buddha's history , its not the case for all and when they were showing the Himalayan area , the house , palace , dressing style even hairstyle similar to Nepal then at-least once they should have mentioned that kapilavastu and lumbini park is situated on modern day Nepal then no objection would have come neither any viewer's sentiment was hurt

but its also fact the show didn't say Buddha was born in India but not mentioning Nepal was careless mistake

The show has to be more responsible for its action or deeds. The entire controversy started as the show was promoted as Buddha was born in India. Zee tv had the following line describing the show.

"that he is counted amongst the most important personalities to have been born in the recorded history of India- Buddha!"

But after the entire controversy, Zee tv was sly enough to remove India, and write Nepal instead, without any apologies! The CVs, writers, director must have done a research on the topic before they started the show, so didnt their research show that Buddha was born in Nepal?

It is not sufficient enough to say Buddha was born in Lumbini, a lot of people dont know where Lumbini is. If the creators of the show want to educate the audience, then give correct information.

i want to thanks to this serial...becoz of this serial now everyone will know that gautam budha was born in Nepal...the issue of gautam budha born is now almost solved...After this incident now noone can hav a guts to say anything to nepal which is the birth place of lord budhA...now people will know about the gorkhali neplease who can die for country ...becoz of this serial many neplease people r hurt..
yes i agree that god is for every one...but it doesnot mean that we can change the birth place of god

The Makers of this serial said in the launch that gautam bhuddha was born in India. and they are making the serial on the context of india.. its not the way to play with people sentiments. we all know gautam buddha was born in Nepal.. so they have to make the serial related with that.. the creatives have to think seriously now..

By the same logic, should Shakuni be an Afgani? Probably Osama Bin Laden's ancestor?

And Kaikeyi should be termed a "Paksitani"...? After all Kekeya was in modern Pakistan

Buddha was born in neither India nor Nepal.He was born in Aryavarta.

The Sakiya kingdom (a.k.a Kapilavastu) formed one of the sixteen ancient Maha Janapadas.

The terms India / Nepal came into existence during the British period (?). During ancient times, all the kingdoms to the south of the Himalayas formed culturally one cohesive unit.

After seeing ur post i feel like laughing...we.r not here to say about kekeya or else ...we r here to say about budha...budha was born in lumbini which is in nepal...then by knowing the truth also many people say wrong thing for eg kabir bedi...how he can say that budha was born in india. ...now it is proved that buddha was born in lumbini which is in nepal...
