Hello people!
This is Ronee here.

I need a little help. My brother who is in his freshman year in college, has never been into novels much. But he wants to start now! It's never too late to start reading.

So, could you please suggest what books he can start with?

I started with Enid Blyton, Nancy Drew and those sweet childlike dream books, but I was in 3rd Standard then. I cant really suggest him those.

Also, he is not too strong in vocab..so can't suggest authors we read now.

Keeping all this in mind, could you guys please help with a few suggestions? Books which can keep an adult hooked, but with a very easy, fluid, lucid style of writing.

Thanking you, in advanvce. :)

Keeping in mind it's your brother let me ask you what kinda books does he like. It's obvious guys don't like chick lit so I have to refrain from suggesting them.

Harry Potter, anyone can read Harry Potter. From kids to adults.

Mystery stories, Sherlock Holmes or Agatha Christie.

Malgudi Days by R.K Narayan, short stories by Khushwant Singh.

You also need to have the desire for books, without that no book looks appealing.
