How about My Sister's Keeper? At first it might not sound that interesting, but once you start, its really good and emotional.

Oh, do read Indie Girl by Kavita Daswani! It's very funny and addicting! Another good one of that author is The Village Bride of Beverly Hills

You may like the following:

1. Acts of Faith (Erich Segal)
2. The Alchemist (Paulo Coehlo)
3. North & South (Elizabeth Gaskell)

They are lovely pieces of writing and hopefully you will like them.
