^^yeah, I guess it's all about luck as well. She was unfortunate not to get better roles after the success of Maine pyar kiya. But she should have left her hubby out of the equation 😆 no offence but his acting was, well- let's just say he was a weak actor 😕

By the way, like your pratham-gauri avi 😊 it's so cute! Thank you so much.😛

Yeah I know what you mean about her husband Himalya, them together in Payaal was a bit. But I guess she said she wanted to focus on family life, dunno what the truth is.

@farislove: Her and Salman did a guest appearance in Humko Deewana Kargaye.

lol I doubt there is anyone in this universe that didn't like maine pyar kiya 😆 it was indeed a rage😉 I've seen it a million times and can never get bored of it. Such a simple film but so sweet😳 I'm one of those many girls that wished she was in the place of Bhagyashree😍 😆 Salman as Prem in that film is my fav hero to date I don't think any other character has given me so many goosebumps!

They showed it in the UK during the early 90s on tv. It was really early in the morning and I woke up late. Thought I had missed it and started to cry (was very young then!) But my Mum told me I've only missed the opening credits!😆

Going back to Bhagyashree, she's one of those stars that gain instant fame and then fizzle out. It's a shame really. But If she makes a proper comeback, I doubt she will get good roles, plus competition is really tough in Bollywood these days😊

Ok, found some of her films, hope it's right 😃

1.Qaid mein hai bulbul (1992)
2.Tyaagi (1992)
3.Paayal (1992)
4.ghar aaya mera pardesi (1990)
5.Janani (2007)
then of course there's also maine pyar kiya and humko deewana kar gaye,
as you mentioned.

I think she made some wrong film selections after maine pyar kiya and
made the mistake of doing too many films with her hubby, despite their
chemistry not working out. Now that I think about it, I remember
Paayal...think it was a sad movie- but can't remember the rest.

I like the films of Sallu that you mentioned 😉 I liked his earlier comedy
films with Karishma under David Dhawan. And of course Andaz Apna
Apna (think that was Santoshi) but of late his comedy films haven't got
me that interested, and his film selection these days isn't too good. But
still watch them though...dil ka maamla hai 😳 😆

Gosh never heard of those films what was her fascination
with wanting to work with her husband...nice to see a salman fan i
actually done like david dhawan films alot apart from mujhe shaddi
karoge ..his films ok not like they use to be hope HAHK2 gets made
though

She is rumoured to have only wanted to films with her husband, hence
quit films. But in a recent artical I read , she stated that her wanting to
films with him exclusively was just a rumour and that the reason for
quitting films is because family life matterd to her most, with her kids n
all. Plus she was/is seen in TV serials such as Bahuraniya and did a
special appearance in Humko Deewana Kargaye.
But many thought she had a lot of potential had she remained in the
industry for longer.

Yeh its a shame she left early and soon after she could have done soo well
i think you are right in saying if she stayed long she would have remained
longer oh so it was a rumour she got married really young though am
sure she could have stayed abit longer ..what if sooraj takes her in his
films lol never know.

Maine Pyar Kiya was just so amazingly awesome! They had such a cute chemistry, especially in the song Aaja Shaam Hone Wali, 😳 It really is nostalgia galore! Seen the film innumerable times and am still not at all bored, guess it has that enduring quality. Bhagyashree looked stunning as the simple girl. 😛
