Lajjo "Aishwarya is committed for one film with Mani Ratnam. As far as Lajjo is concerned she hasn't signed this film. She is looking forward to doing Mani's next film which also stars Abhishek Bachchan in the lead role," Singh told Indiatimes The film starring Abhishek and Aishwarya, an intense love story based on real life characters, is set to roll in September. Its scripting is yet to be completed but Abhishek and Aishwarya have signed up, because in the past Mani Ratnam has given them crucial breaks that have turned around their careers. Aishwarya debuted in Ratnam's
Iruvar (1997), and his
Yuva (2004) revived Abhishek's sagging Bollywood career.
More recently Guru (2007) established Abhishek and Aishwarya as a successful onscreen pairing for the first time.
