Here are females who have done roles with many shades like Kajol who proved herslef with movies like DDLJ , Gupt , Dushman , Kucch Kucch Hota Hai and Fanaaa.

Rani Mukherji has done films that are miles apart. Her character in Hum Tum had many shades which according to me is her best performance so far . Her role in movies like Black , Laaga Chunari Main Daag or Mangal Pandey were also great.

Preity defines Versatality. She is different in every films. Has done everything . Has played many different roles in movies like Sangharsh , Kya Kehna , Salaam Namaste , Kal Ho Na Ho and the next Mira Naira film.

There are actresses like Tabu , Konkana and Urmila who are not associated with Masala films . They have done some great movies like Cheeni Kum , Chandni Baar , Rangeela , Ek Haseena Thi , Page 3 and others.

Without a doubt I'd say Rani, Preity, and Kajol these 3 have played many roles with ease.

What about Sushmita Sen? She hasn't done that many Masala movies, but I think she is an excellent actress.

but anyways, from the list..definetly Rani. She can play gf, bahu, beti, wife..any role with perfection. She is convincing. Even with very average looks, she played the charecter of Tina in KKHH perfectly. There are no dobts in her playing wife and bahu type roles..she has done many of them.

Black was the higest point from her..she is the most versatilr to me. 👏 👏

rani, tabu, madhuri, konkona and urmila are the most versatile actresses according to me. these actresses play their roles onscreen with such passion and perfection, it's hard not to love them for their acting.😃
