No marriage yet for Kareena
Contrary to report in this morning's newspapers, sources close to both Kareena and Saif have flatly denied any marriage taking place. In fact they say that although the two are deeply in love and extremely committed to one another, marriage is not on the cards for a long time.
"Kareena has grown very close to Saif in a very short while. She has bonded very well with his children as well – something that was very important to Saif but there has been no nikaah whatsoever," says a source close to the actress.
Recently Kareena was spotted wearing a huge diamond ring which prompted rumours of a possible engagement. But she has made it very clear to everyone that she won't be heading up the altar any time soon," adds the source.
Many friends of the actress have seconded this saying that Bebo and her family don't want her settling down right now and that has largely to do with the second lease of life that she has received in Bollywood.
"Kareena sat at home for over a year with no work coming to her. Suddenly post Jab We Met, producers and directors are queuing up outside her home. She has literally no dates for the next two years and she is gung ho about her career right now. She knows what happens to actresses in Bollywood once they get married. No body wants to touch them and with this sudden burst of popularity coming her way she just is not ready to give anything else greater importance," says a close friend.
There are also reports that the actress' family is not too keen on her current beau. "Babita, Lolo and Randhir loved Shahid. They felt he brought a lot of calmness to Kareena's life. They aren't very sure about Saif and all the publicity surround the couple isn't something that appeals to them either. And Bebo knows that too… in fact when Saif made marriage and settling down declarations in the press, Kareena called him up and let it be known to him that marriage was definitely not on the cards for her for the next few years atleast."
Kareena, who is now considered Bollywood's number one actress, has herself made it clear in various interviews to the media that she is looking to settle down only after five years and that her career is the only focus right now. The actress will soon be in Yash Raj's Tashan, followed by Kambhakht Ishq and Golmal Returns.
