Can a director like Sanjay Leela Bhansali give a downer like this....

Has anyone watched the movie?

Yes i have watched the movie n its very good one, worth watching probably ganna be a classic 10-20 years from now! This movie was something diffrent the whole time i was at the premier everyone one was (wow, nice, omg,mind-blowing) these words where comming out of every star sitting around me its a must watch if u dont watch this then i dunno wuh kinda crap bollywood you all like i have seen the first half of OSO its very god but nothing eye catching same old farah khan i relly like the Jag Soona Soona Lage song n the comedy was alright nothing to funny jus common sense jokes However saawariya was sumthing that jus took me by surprise i didnt know wht to expect when i walked in but when i walked out i wanted to watch it again I admit Salmans role was very small but he wasnt the main lead we have to rember this he was jus a small part same with rani (who di a mindblowing job must add) they where in this movie as extra characters speeking a few lines getting the viewers into the story n thats it Overall Saawariya is amazing theres no bollywood movie out there like this n the people who are writing all dis shit about the movie lol asking questions like "what tyme period was this movie based in" "what era was it" n "what attracter Sakina towards Imraan" Thats all commone sense der is no place like this anywhere in the world, so ders no need to now da era n it was physical atraction between em dum asses lol they way there are with one another the lines the presence between them anyways i enjoyed saawariya you all should go watch it if u want sumthing diffrent to see if you want same old lights color dance masti boy meets girl dace round a tree go watch any other movie for i care lol

I think the movie was a bit too serious for a launchpad. May be it could have been done by actors who are mature and already established in the industry.. Most people expect a fun/romance and some over-the-top drama from newcomers like Kaho Na pyaar Hai. This one turned out to be Refugee. SLB always worked with big stars and this is the first time he tried becoming a star maker which apprantly failed due to various reasons.

I saw all three....
ANd yes it is truth
BOTH OSO and Sawariya Are crap... 😆

And Jab we met was good even though even i never liked Kareena...Its simply becuase fo the way movie is treated...there was never a single boring minute
while in Saawariya its the exact opp..
all songs except 3 were at wrong time...
There is absolutely no story only usual SLB style of huge sets and beautiful clothes( which were not soo gud compared to his other movies)
!!!

And as for SLB can give such a bad movie... Well Rajshree's are known fr giving good movies BUt they Did give Main prem ki diwani hu right,???

I just got back from the theater, and I liked Saawariya. It was something different, but a total love story! The production and execution of the film are commendable, I was in awe of the sets, cinematography, costumes, songs, choreography... everything basically. But I was a bit disappointed with Sonam, she did have so good moments, but she didn't captivate my attention like Ranbir, who basically stole the show.

But I would say, watch the film yourself and make your own review. I read the reviews of many before watching the film, but I still enjoyed it. But if your not a romantic or don't enjoy serious love stories, than I would say this isn't the film for you.

I agree Maya,

their launch should have been a romantic, feel good kind of a movie...now they will have to work their way up!😛

you know what, people just cannot take tragedy endings....
the movie isn't sooo bad....I think most ppl weren't happy becoz of the sad ending...ppl are too much used to a bubblegum romance, where the guy and girl meet, fall in love, and get married.....but this film is really realisitic....isn't it possible that a guy falls in love with a girl who is already in love with someone else?? in real life, does every guy get the girl?? and the thoguht that "She doesn't love me, but that doesn't stop me from loving her" is really beautiful, and I loved that!!
and yeah, both Ranbir and Sonam were great in the movie, but Ranbir is the new superstar!! when I saw the movie, the theatre was completely packed with college girls screaming and whistling....
and I dunno why all these newspapers are describing Saawariya as a Hindu-Muslim story, set in the pre-independance era.....itz nothing like that....itz just a simple love story, why involve religion and stuff??

Main boloon toh bas sanjay shouldnot have realeased this movie on diwali eve, its not a diwali momentum film where ppl expect more fun laughter kinda movies..so oso will do well in such conditions since it is more fun..

but im sure saawariya isnot that bad, slow paced movies r not boring.. it has a class in it, and i m sure slb has given it a classy look overall...

but yeah 11 songs in 2 and a half hour film!! thats too much.. 😕

I agree with you and yeah, all 11 songs aren't picturised, Daras bina nahi chain keeps playing in the background, Sawar gayi wasn't played at all, and all the other songs were cut, only half songs were picturised....
