Was Shahid's proximity to the actress the real reason for his split with Bebo? The inside story...

Contrary to speculations that Kareena Kapoor dumped Shahid Kapur for Saif Ali Khan or that they broke up to give publicity to Jab We Met — here's the real reason. A close friend of Shahid and Kareena reveals that the couple broke off more than three months ago and what drove the final nail to the coffin was the alleged relationship between Shahid and Vidya Balan, Shahid's heroine in Kismet Connection.

Things got sour

Says a source close to Kareena, "Shahid and Kareena broke off in July. They had been having problems for the last eight months for various reasons. Even while shooting for Jab We Met they would have fights.

After four-and-a-half years, both felt that they had outgrown the relationship. They had been fighting a lot and Shahid wanted Kareena to adapt to his ways.

It was Shahid's decision to break off. By the time Kareena went to shoot for Tashan in Ladakh, both had gone their different ways. It was an amicable parting."

But Kareena was still in two minds as she has always loved Shahid and didn't want to give up on a relationship in which she had invested so much of her time and emotions.

Reveals the source, "Then came the news of Shahid's increasing closeness to his Kismet Connection co-star, Vidya Balan, in Toronto and Kareena was shooting for Tashan in Jaisalmer. Initially, Kareena didn't believe the rumours and whenever she asked Shahid, he maintained that Vidya and he were good friends and nothing more."

But Kareena got a differnt version from her friend who swore by the increasing intimacy between the two co-stars, "Vidya and Shahid would spend hours on and off the sets. After the shootiong, they would vanish together. That's when Kareena finally realised that Shahid had truly moved on," adds our insider.

Emotional support

So when did Saif come into the picture? Says the source, "Kareena had always liked Saif as a friend. He's a wonderful human being loyal, supportive, protective and caring. When she was hurting he gave her emotional support.

It wasn't a rebound relationship as by that time she had come to terms that Shahid had moved on.

During the shooting of Tashan in Jaisalmer and
Kerala she found herself spending more and more time with Saif and finding plenty of things in common with him."

But that wasn't the end of the chapter according to the source. "Kareena has always reacted from the heart so when Shahid came back from Toronto she tried getting back with him one last time.

They met at designer Shabina Khan's home where Kareena asked Shahid for the last time if they could get back together.

"Shahid refused categorically saying that it wasn't possible for them to get
back together as he was involved with another woman.

Of course that doesn't mean that Kareena is bitter about it. Today she's very happy with Saif whom she dotes upon. She was thrilled when he announced their relationship at the Lakm Fashion Week last week," adds the source.

Are she and Shahid on talking terms? "Yes. Shahid and Kareena talk to each other almost every day. In fact, during the last day shoot of Jab We Met at Future Studios, Shahid, Kareena and Shabina had lunch together in Shahid's van.

Recently, when Shahid and Kareena met at Shabina's birthday (October 14) party in Aurus they greeted each other very amicably and were spotted chatting. It's just that today they have moved on with different people. In fact, Vidya is seen visiting Shahid's Raj Classic apartment in Versova almost every day. "

But certain actions of Shahid have upset Kareena. "Shahid had categorically asked Kareena not to talk about the break-up but Shahid went on air in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa to declare that he was single. Kareena was hurt but she has accepted that.

Also she wasn't asked to be part of Voice of India and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa by Ashtavinayak, the producers of Jab We Met and that's why Shahid came solo.

Why doesn't Kareena reveal the truth about the break up especially when Shahid has gone on air in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa to say he's single? The source says, "Kareena won't talk because her parents Babita and Randhir Kapoor have strictly asked her not to talk about her personal life to the media. Right now Bebo's just living in the moment and not thinking about the future. She is very happy with Saif and wants to concentrate completely on her career."

When contacted Kareena said, "I won't comment on my personal life."
Vidya Balan and Shahid Kapoor remained unavailable for comment.

I dont think kareena is so innocent and this article aint the correct story bcoz I dont think Vidya Balan has to do anything with it and Shahid is the one who is more affected and Bebo has happily moved on...............

hmmmmmmmmmmmm!! interestinggggg!! these star lives are so messed up..

but it was funny to read this part, ""Kareena had always liked Saif as a friend. He's a wonderful human being loyal, supportive, protective and caring. When she was hurting he gave her emotional support."

Geez,how low can Kareena stoop???...Why the blinking hell is she scapegoating other actresses for her break-up....First it was Amrita Rao,now Vidya Balan!!It's atrocious...This "friend" of Kareena can go take a hike!!!

The article is rife with contradictions and fraught with illogicality....What the ***eidted*****is this??.."Kareena won't talk because her parents Babita and Randhir Kapoor have strictly asked her not to talk about her personal life to the media."....Yeah right,and pigs might fly!!!...Kareena, who had no qualms whatsoever about going repeatedly on record that she "would marry only Shahid",doesn't give two hoots about her parents' advice..Does she REALLY credit the public with so little wits....

It's unbelievable,to save her hide,to redeem herself in the public eye,Kareena so coolly calumniates other actresses.....It's a commonly known fact that Saif is a womanising casanova,and Kareena is an absolute cow..Vidya is dragged into this ignominious mess only because she's Shahid's latest co-star..It's appalling,this mudslinging.... 🤢

My take on this:

Kareena is a modern girl driven by her desire of excietment..so on the set of Tashan she gets cosy with Saif....

Shahid found out thru Rosa....and he decides to break away from KAreena.

Kareena is Ok with the break as she now knew that she can have more better career.....thru Saif...

But still Kareena wanted Shahid too...as she loved him.

But Shahid is still trying to get over his heart break....he decides not to be the devdas and come out in open about his single status....when all this while Kareena was painting hte town be it Bombayor Delhi red with Saif....Shahid could not take more and now that He is ihappy and moving now....Kareena wantd to play the blame game.

Kareena and Siaf got the flak - People balmed her for laving Shahid for money and called her name...and also Saif. Their popularity went down adn this was not what she must have expected. She must have expected the world to fall on her feet and be happy for her but here was this situation where she was bad named by press while Shahid emerged as a winner.

So What Kareena does is come up wiht he story about AMRITA RAo.....when that story did n ot get nay importance then she and her friends comes up with another story VIDYA BALAN.

It is all to hide the fatc that Kareena is a Opportunist..and money hungry girl....

Seriously people need to wake up. It is so sickening to read negative comments about kareena. I am not a big fan of hers, but it disturbs me so much to see that even in 2007 nothing has changed in our culture. We are always the first one to point fingures at girls. Some people have commented that she is after money, why would kareena go after money. She belongs from Kapoor family. She is far more famous and successful than saif or shahid. Infact it could be taken as opposite that shahid was after her for money and fame amd when he got both the things he left her. Kareena had totally changed herself for shahid and still people blame her. Guys before pointing fingures at others look at your self first. Agreed that she is celebraty and so people are going to talk about her but no body has the right to degrade her character. I would suggest to mods to please close all the post related to shahid-kareena spilt because all people do is criticize and degrage kareena or shahid's character which I think should not be allowed.

Ok now as you said we are not celebrities....Right agree with you on that.

But if you say Kareena is so innocent then why she is flaunting Saif way before their break up news cam out.

Not to be judging anyone but....look at the two people involved in this break up - Shahid and KAreena.

Shahid - You still see the hurt and pain on his face. He might try to hide it but we see a genuine break up written all over his face.

Then there is,

Kareena - Painting the town red with Saif in Delhi, Bombay and most recently at LAkme Fashion....do you see the pain or hurt or that her four year old relationship just died.....😊

We are just discussing..and we have the right to do so as we are the ones who go and pay to watch their movies..we audience are the ones who make them famous......we are the ones who cherish tehm with our love...and don't they play with the emotions of audience when they go out and promote their films saying all that mushy stuff to make people go and watch their movies...😉.😃😆

I knew thr was something fishy btw Vidya and Shahid. Since they were seen almost everywhere together in Toronto off sets. They even came together to watch "Hey Baby" at the theatres. Looks like it was Shahid who had moved on first with his life.
