Abhishek gears up for Drona sequel By movietalkies.com, 23 August 2007 |
Even before Drona nears completion, actor Abhishek Bachchan is already gearing up for its sequel. The actor has been in talks with the producers and director of the film on how the first part will end so that there is enough scope for a sequel. Abhishek is believed to be involved with the film not only as an actor but is also giving creative inputs to the story of the film. He already has plans on making a series on Drona just like Krrish. He has allotted the next three months for the film's shooting and has put everything else on hold. The actor intends to focus only on Drona for now. The shooting of Drona had been stalled due to untimely rains in Rajasthan and the Gujjar riots due to which trains had been cancelled in the state. After that, Abhishek too took a break from shooting due to his wedding. It's also possible that portions of the film may be re-shot. Amitabh Bachchan is also taking a very keen interest in the film. And he is not believed to very happy with some of portions shot. The Bachchans are very keen that the film has a very impressive look. They want the best creative minds to be working on the special effects for the film. The idea is to make the film look better and bigger than Krrish and Dhoom 2. Hollywood special effects man Charles Darby has been called on board as well. The film will also be competing with Dhoom 2 and Krrish in terms of budget as well. It's probably going to beat them in this area with a budget of over 55 crores. |
