Lara or Soha in Devdas???

Sudhir Mishra's forthcoming film Devdas is creating buzz in media for many reasons. The day he announced this film there was lot of excitement among the media circles about the star cast of his film.

A website speculated that actress Lara Dutta and Soha Ali Khan will play Paro and Chandramukhi respectively for Sudhir Mishra's Devdas. While a leading news paper and a news channel reported that Rani Mukherjee will essay the role of Paro and she has already been signed by Sudhir Mishra.

IndiaFM contacted Sudhir Mishra, who chuckles and refutes all the speculations made about the leading ladies by the media says, "These are all speculations and I haven't signed anyone as yet. Yesterday there was a lot of hullabaloo about my movie as a leading Mumbai tabloid carried news that I signed Rani to play Paro's role. I can't help it if they are making stories on speculations. I haven't signed anyone yet and the day I'll finalized my star cast I will surely make an announcement."

Mishra however has signed Shiny Ahuja who plays the title role in the movie. His movie is a contemporary adaptation of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhaya's Devdas and will be produced by Pritish Nandy Communications.

don't know if I can see Shiney in Devdas's role...
but he is a really good actor so I'm sure he will be able to pull it off.

I would love to see Soha portraying the role of a Devdas.This girl has a lot of potential.I'm sure she can do it.Thanks for the article.
