Salman Khan's philanthropic ideal is one of his better-known positive traits. After taking up numerous charitable causes for various NGOs, Sallu has decided to institute a non-profit organisation called Being Human. As part of the Salman Khan Foundation, it will work for the emancipation of underprivileged children.

"Yes, I am setting up Being Human, and it will work for the benefit of neglected children. The funds for the organisation will come from my personal resources. To raise money, I will start making more appearances at events and sell my paintings. If I am unable to raise money, I will extract money from others so better be careful (laughs)," says Salman, who true to his word has called for a press conference to talk about the organisation.

As for raising money by selling paintings, Salman says, "I will hold an exhibition of my paintings soon, and this time I will sell all of them. I have been making paintings for some time now but my problem is that I make paintings and gift them to my friends. I gifted my first-ever painting to Kailash Surendranath as I faced the camera for the first time for a cola ad that I did for him. Then I started making lot of paintings, and since I live in a very small house and have no place to stack them up, I started putting them up on the wall. I have now become very emotional about them and that's created a problem but I will sell them anyway for my organisation."
