It's a fun thing to do!

We're tired of telling you what stars tell us. So here are some off-the-record moments with our stars, stories which were not really meant to be told…

Salman Khan
We were in the midst of interviewing Madhuri Dixit once, when Salman Khan dropped by to meet her. He peeped in, Madhuri smiled, and said that she was doing an interview. Anyone else would have accepted the situation and returned later. Sallu, as we know him, isn't anyone else. He disappeared - for the moment. Much later, when we tried to leave Madhuri's make-up room, we found the door bolted from outside! Sallu, as we said, 'Khan' do anything. (Now we laugh about it, but then, it didn't seem so funny since we had to knock and yell for 15 minutes before someone opened the door for us.)

Saif Ali Khan
Once, when we went to meet Saif, the situation turned bizarre from the first moment. For, the minute we sat down, Saif pointed to a lamp and asked us where it should be placed for best effect. We thought he was being conversational before getting down to the interview, so we played along by pointing out a spot in the room. Then he told us he planned to get another lamp for another corner and which colour should it be. We named a colour. (We were playing along, remember?) After a couple of minutes it dawned on us that Saif wasn't breaking the ice. That's when we reintroduced ourselves. And discovered that he had an appointment with his interior designer's assistants at much the same time as us…

Lara Dutta
On a hot day we were dog-tired, when we dropped in on Lara for a chat. Her staff brought us water, which seemed like manna from heaven. But as he placed the glasses on the table and left, Lara's pet boxers bounded into the room. After doing their duty of sniffing at our ankles, the two dogs must have felt tired and thirsty too. For they then walked up to the table and lapped up most of the water from both the glasses. It's a dog's world out there.

Randeep Hooda
Randeep must have read our thoughts. For, the first time we went to meet him at his rather messy apartment, he opened the door to us clad in a not-exactly-freshly-laundered towel. So, was he wearing a towel, and nothing but a towel? Swear we don't know.

Shahid Kapoor
When we went to meet Shahid, obviously he didn't want to confront us without belting up his trousers. But, hell, he had a tough time doing it that day! While we waited patiently for him in the living room, we saw his Man Friday scurrying up and down the house with a selection of belts. The grumble went that "Saab ko koi bhi belt pasand nahin aa raha hai". By the time he was ready with his favourite piece of leather, we were ready to interview him in a towel.

Boman Irani
The last time we dropped in at Boman's house, we caught him rehearsing for a music reality show at the top of his voice. Or so we thought, for his efforts at belting out a song wafted out of the bathroom loud (very loud) and clear. How does he sing? Well… he did get a couple of notes almost right.

Sallu and Saifu's ones are hillarious. Sallu bolting the jornos in Madhu's make-up room 😆 but Saifu confusing the reporters for his interior designers sounds like classic Saif moment. 😳 Bohman can sing, he does a mean Bond impression too! 😛
