Style and Preity Zinta go hand in hand. Onscreen, she is one of the best dressed actors in the Hindi Film industry. Off screen, Preity is one stylish girl who knows her 'Chanel' from her 'Cavalli'…and proof of her fashion sense are he numerous 'Style Diva' awards she's picked up in he recent past – Samsung Diva, Lycra MTV Style Diva 2006, IIFA Style Diva, Ebay Style Diva…and the list goes on. When I started out, I sported short yet stylish clothes like floral dresses, dungarees and short skirts. For more casual occasions, I'd opt for figure hugging tees, preferably tee shirts with Mickey Mouse prints on them
My Style Pick on Screen
My dress sense is very different in different filmjs, depending on the roles I am doing. From the traditional, ethnic style in 'Mission Kashmir' to the stylish look in 'Dil Chahta Hain' to the subdued yet classy look in 'Lakshya,' I experimented with a variety of looks. In my latest film, 'KANK,' I was really made up and wore authentic designer clothes from 'Chanel' and 'Versace.' Since I palyed the editor of a fashion magazine, it was all about power dressing. I kept my look very simple in 'Jaan-e-Mann' – softer, more feminine clothes, maybe not hi-fashion but still elegant and stylish.
My Style Statement
I dress to please myself. I was and still am very fond of my old jeans 0 in fact when I do pick up a new pair, I store them in my closet for a few years at least till I feel they are old enough to wear. As for formal dressing, I like simple, elegant and stylish stuff. It can be anything – from a simple white poncho on blue jeans, to an elegant black dress. But honestly speaking, more than brands, I check out if the clothes suit me.
