Nandita Das, who has earlier worked with director Jagmohan Mundhra's BAWANDAR would be seen in his upcoming release PROVOKED where she plays the role of a social activist.

Starring Aishwarya Rai in the lead, the film would finally be releasing on April 06 after months of being postponed. PROVOKED has Nandita Das in a friendly guest appearance and as per reports the director had a tough time roping her in for the role since Nandita wasn't sure if she fitted in well with the kind of role that she was required to play.

Later when Mundhra convinced her no end and after realizing the kind of research that had gone into the subject, Nandita gave a go-ahead to the project and shot for it.
