Vidya is not doing ‘Munnabhai Chale Amrik

Vidya Balan is not doing 'Munnabhai Chale Amrika', the third film in Munnabhai series. Vidya had played lead in 'Lage Raho Munnabhai' and she received high critical acclaims also for her powerhouse performance in the film. But she has been dropped from its third series, has raised eyebrows of many. When asked in a recent meet, director Rajkumar Hirani said it's a technical decision, because in the film Munna falls in love with an American and that's why Vidya loses her berth . As per latest, an American blonde will be seen in the film as Munna's love interest. Confirming the news, Rajkumar Hirani said, "This time Munna falls for an American. So Vidya isn't part of this film. We are casting a blonde opposite Munna."
However Sanjay Dutt (Munna) and Arshad Warsi (Circuit) won't be changed in the film. And as per latest, Rajkumar Hirani is trying to fit in another popular character that of Boman Irani in the film.
When contacted Vidya also admitted the news, however didn't agree that she has been dropped out of the film. "I hadn't been dropped but I had turned down the film as I had not available dates," said Vidya with adding, "Not only this film, I had to refuse many other top banners projects for date problem."
Vidya is currently doing Priyadarshan's film 'Bhool Bhulaiya'.
