Basic premise -:

Son obsessed with father

Thik hai

Obsession with father for what? How? When?

If he was obsessed how did he stay away from his father for 7 years he lived in USA with his wife and kids, his father never saw his kids

There are 0 work on characters and storytelling

Work was put in -

1 Shock value - Blood, gore, sex and sexual assault

2 Cringe adult jokes - 10 minutes dedicated to his underwear

3 Religious angle - Church bad, Sar tan se juda of Muslim man, Muslim man as antagonist committing all heinous crimes, Gau mutra and Hindu practices in positive manner

For many it was sheer misogyny.

For others it should have taken as a different take of a single person how he likes to narrate the story in his way.

And for some it was just a story of a mishandled child who became a toxic misogynist in the process, which the director SHOWED but never GLORIFIED for the audience hence for them the back lash does not make any sense to even begin with.

Irony is a lot of the people who criticised it never even saw it

Most of the criticism is comments like

“Omg this director ewww so glad I didn’t watch it in the theatres “

“So glad everyone’s trashing the trash…I couldn’t even get myself into the theatre”

“I saw the trailer and was repulsed ewww….i don’t wanna watch this red flag movie”

Fair enuff if u abstain from watching it …that’s a personal choice and everyone can do that

But what then gives u the credibiltiy to trash a movie or have perspective on its storytelling or screenplay ? 🙄 trailer se sab pata chal gaya ?😂…gyaani baba..😇

Most of the mysoginy in the film is actually called out by rashmika…including cheating, she even mocks his pelvis dialogue when he cheats on tripti….but if ppl want to watch a film in segments and make judgements and not as a whole, then ro sab ke sab…😂

It was misogynist for no reason.

The movie was about a troubled son trying to save his father's life.

Misogyny was forced into movie.

If anyone noticed, people who support the movie are continuously mocking and attacking people who don't like it
