His only defense is 'oh look you also had problematic stuff in your film', that shows that he knows his films have problematic stuff in them, he has deliberately put that stuff in the film to sell it, so why not own it and take responsibility instead of making excuses? He is being so rude and disrespectful to people in the industry when replying to them, it shows his nature and true face

I really hope people in the industry don't take this crap from him just because his movie made so much money, there has to be some level of integrity

100% true.

After watching Animal, I think he just gives these statements to be in the news and piss people off. He's not worth it as a filmmaker... the movie was complete trash. And it was not because of the misogyny or the gross/ grass aspects of his movies, but Animal was genuinely terribly made. It's like 5-6 movies in one with nothing at all making sense. I don't try to make sense in BW movies but for the life of me I don't know what on earth was happening in this movie for 3.5hrs. Complete loony fest. At some point I wondered if it was supposed to be a comedy with the complete lack of coherence.

Vanga should know better than attacking an industry stalwart like Aamir. Also Aamir himself did not question Vanga , why is he attacking him?? Right now a lot of people will applaud his statements coz Aamir is flopping and he has delivered a 500 cr film. Time changes and changes fast and then this disrespect will be remembered.

i don't understand why vanga is reacting to every celebrity comments. animal is a good movie. agree that it had gore violence but calling it a misogynist movie is wrong.

talking about violence, firing and stuff were ok but the climax throat slitting was overboard. a small slit like we show in most action films would have been fine.

Bollywood ke bhotse movies misogynistic hain. Kiran Rao stalking ki baat karreli thi... Badri Ki Dulhaniya tak toh apanne khud dekhelaay. Rocky aur Rani mein Dharamji ka character woh stranger lady ke paas usku pyaar karne jaataay, aur yeh comedy karne liye dikhaayele. Pathan Fighter and what not mein aaj bhi sultry provocative aur seductive tarah se female body ko objectify karrele aur platter pe daalke serve karrele (not judging, just stating). And these are U/A movies btw, matlab bachche log bhi theater mein baithke item songs dekhrele.

Bollywood mein bhot scope hai. Bhot directors hain. Hirani ayenga feel good movie leke, Bhansali visual spectacle leke aayenga. Sid Anand kuchh tatti leke ayenga. Out of hundreds of Bollywood movies released every year, maximum 1 would be Vanga's.

Vanga apne aap ko Stanley Kubrick ke space mein model karrelaay. Usko broken men dikhaana hai screen pe. Apan kitna bhi gaali de, usko wahi karna hai. All (or most) of his future movies will have a male protagonist that is immoral, unethical and in general a bad human being. Kisine Clockwork Orange dekhelaay toh idea ho jaayenga what to expect from the future Vanga cinemaverse.

Gaali deke Vanga suddenly Hirani nahin banenga. So I'd recommend if you don't like Vanga's movies, just ignore him and his work. There are plenty directors and hundreds (if not thousands) of movies to enjoy out there.

Personally merko Vanga ke movies bhot mast lagte. Lekin merko Hirani, Bhansali, Vishal Bhardwaj, Sriram Raghavan etc inka work bhi achhaa lagtaay.

PS: I enjoy Hirani's movies, yet I'll say Vanga jaisa bhi ho Hirani se better person hi honga irl

Lord he has zero tact. His demeanor is filthy. Somebody tell that’s not how an “alpha” behaves. What’s that word in Hindi movies. Yes. Gutter chap comes to mind. This two hit wonder will kill his career with his own hands at the rate he’s going.
