Although I agree that it happened was just before Kiara's peak started. She wasn't even part of the main cast.

Actually, Kalank was KJO s plan for Alia to have her own Hum dil de chine sanam kinda film. Alas, it fell flat.

Alia is a good actress but she is lucky to have a curated cherry picked career. No one has got opportunities like her ever.

Yes it’s that Tansen. Baiju was a renowned classical musician who attained the last name bawra because of his extreme passion towards everything he does. He was most popular for his musical duel with Tansen and making him accept defeat with his extraordinary musical talent. Gauri was his lover and then wife, who also was a major influence in his life. Roopmati was a dacoit who was instrumental in reminding him of his real mission in life when he was lost in his love for Gauri. These are the 4 principal characters of this story.

Unlike some people here, I feel Bhansali has great storytelling skills. It's not just about period dramas. His Khamoshi is a masterpiece.

His stories have the right amount of drama and beautiful acting.
