Agreed she is a limited-range actress. There is a certain genre of roles she can do justice too. But that topped with her beauty was enough to make her successful at the time I guess.

Yes. My very first post on this forum was calling Deepika Padukone the living reincarnation of Amitabh Bacchan. Back in 2008.

Deepika got the best debut that a new comer can even dream of in BW....

- Being paired against the biggest superstar in 2007.

- Double role..one of which was a period role..

-She got some of the best songs

-Iconic dialogues like...chutki bhar sindoor....

-Not to forget the movie was a block buster

and she looked like a dream..
