Finally I have watched the movie in Kannada today. It was great experience to watch in theater. Absolutely Loved it. Those who believe in Daiva, nema, kola and kambhala should not miss the movie..Non-tuluvas please watch the movie to feel the vibes of rich Tulu culture.
Rishabh Shetty and team👏
I didn't realise there is a thread for this movie. I watched it last week, and I loved it ❤️
Rishab Shetty as Shiva is amazing for sure! 👏
The way it was presented visually also makes you root deeply for him, and somewhere it even made me rethink about the situation of land-rights and corruption still prevailing in our society and how it possibly affects environmental and social justice. What I really love about this movie and others like this is that they are focussed on preservation of culture, and truly showcase so much of respect for the traditions too. I've lived in urban Karnataka in my childhood, so never knew about a lot of these in detail though I think I may have vaguely heard some of the terms from my friends parents. This movie really helped me learn more about Guliga Daiva, Bhoota Kola festival and Kambala too, so I am glad I did watch it 😳

I am hearing a lot about this film. Is it on the same lines as KGF's masala action films or is it different?
Last 20 mins of the movie was absolutely fantastic. Mind blowing performance by Rishab Shetty. Loved this song.

Coincidently I realized the only Kannada movies I have watched in recent times has been Rishab Shetty's. Kirik Party, Sarkari Shaale and now Kantara.
it is different, though it has some elements, hero beating up 10-15 people at once and a typical love story but the other things are extraordinarily wonderful , do give it a shot.Originally posted by: Guddu.Pandit

I have not watched KGF, so i am not sure. You may not enjoy may be because of cultural difference , but you should not miss the viewing experience of this gem. The film do have masala elements!
