From what I gather from the wire's piece, they seemed to have avoided commenting on any event that might be controversial. Still I can see the mere presence of a few historical figures ruffling feathers.

I am not surprised that they decided to completely neuter the film, but then they shouldn't have remade it in the first place.

It's Aamir's best movie after Dil Chahta Hai. Yes, even better than 3 Idiots. The emotional core is more strong here, and resonates with more authenticity.

Beautiful movie, with heart-touching moments, golden moments which will go down in cinematic history. Not comparing it with the original Forrest Gump, Aamir has taken several cinematic tweaks, and believe me, they work to make the film even better.

Aamir is brilliant, and Kareena is mesmerizing. One of her best performances.

Was Aamir’s acting really distracting and jarring? My friend said it was kinda unbearable to begin with but she was able to get over it eventually as the screenplay was very indulging.

Kareena is the surprise package. She's just so perfect in the movie.
