Sanjay Dutt as a lead was giving DISASTERs in last decade. If he was so popular now, then films like Department would have been BLOCKBUSTERs.

His controversy happened in 1993-94, film came few years back. It was RK's transformation as Sanjay Dutt which created buzz, not that ppl went to see Sanjay dutt 😆

CAST ki baat ho rahi hai, why not to cast NAWAAZ, Rajkumar Rao, any Outsider, Character artist, koi bhi, then we could have seen how much big Sanju would have been 😆

Raj Kumar Hirani banayega to log dekhenge jaise Rajamouli banata hai to log dekhte hai, abhi time hai ki we give importance to directors. Abhi wo Sanjay Dutt pe movie banye ki alien pe doesn't matter
