The problem is that women, especially wives are always referred to as '"gharwali"...."ghar ki murghi, daal barabar"....such statements are extremely problematic and reflect a deeper problem. This isnt cute. Its actually really regressive and stupid.

The husband is referred to as Gharwala as well....that is how they call in rural India...if you want to something bad in it...then do so...just don't try to mix things up.....there is nothing wrong with calling ur spouse gharwali and gharwala...
